Ketavi
Actions speak louder than words.[/left]
A gentle breeze crossed the path of the tan hued she wolf. She was standing at the top of a canyon now, glancing down into the depths of the river below. The towering cliffs blocked the view of anything other than the stretch of water. She had come from her “home” for the past year. If you could call it a home. She lived in a field of desolation – over populated with the bodies of wolves who had been drug there against their will, yet empty of the souls which still struggled to get past the time of day. The place they were in. Ketavi knew that it wasn’t the end. It was a start. In most cases. Her 1st life had been privileged beyond what she deserved. She had picked up habits she shouldn’t have learned. Though most of them had gone, she still lived with vanity as her closest friend. It her eyes, it reassured her.

Her wispy plume caught up with the breeze and swayed with a god-like grace. It nudged her down the uneven slope to enter her newly granted home. She had been allowed to stay with Wahya and his pack. She had been given another chance. She knew better than to abuse this opportunity. It could be her last, should she play the wrong game. That aside, she actually seemed to take to this new alpha, from what she had seen.

When she reached the bottom she was greeted by the gentle rushing of water against the rocks, smooth and shiny from the friction. The shoreline was brushed with luscious grasses, with every shade of green and yellow you could imagine. A small tree rested on the bank, casting distorted shadows into the reflecting pools in the river. The day wasn’t quite as bone chilling as it had been before, so there wasn’t anything uninviting about the water. As she stepped gently into the crystal depths, the water lapped at her paws. It kept drawing her in farther and farther. She continued on up to her chest, the current causing the river to spit dewdrops into her thin, fine tan pelt. Her plume rippled with the gushing waters. She took another step forward, but was greeted to a drop off she hadn’t been expecting. Her knees sunk down trying to gain her balance again, but that only ended with her entire head being submerged.

Her head flung up out of the water as she snorted, sending cascades of crystals back into their original hold. The maiden was now stained half chocolate, half gold. Her reflection showed a mixed, unsteady pattern forming on her back, which didn’t please her vanity. With a short hop of her hind pillars, she was entirely off the small cliff, everything but her head engulfed in water. She took a few cautious steps forward, testing the footing of the rock beds below her, but found no faults. She had a lot of energy from just walking to this new place, and her mind told her it was time to use it. Her muscles flexed, the energy pumping. Her hind end shoved with all its might, sending her golden form careening through the water at full speed. Showers of water went flying in all directions, seeming to land everywhere but their creator. Her body was framed by a sphere of rolling water, heading out in all directions. Her old homes had never provided her with the opportunity for such a thrill.

Her speed slowly lost its spark as she reached the banks of the other side. This side of the canyon was filled with caverns. She’d never really seen them before, so she was curious. Were they deep? Could they hold a pack? Would they withstand the weather? Were they safe…? Only time would tell since she couldn’t just go wandering off at the moment. She shuffled back over to the river’s edge and awaited her first task from her new alpha, wherever he may be. She didn’t mind waiting. Her paws dipped back into the crystal water so she could drink from the shallow pools, her back desiccating in the sun’s rays.
She couldn't help but think about what was going on back at the pack area with Wahya and Hina.. She did indeed hope they weren't arguing... especially over her of all wolven..
