She hated to ask something so hard of him. Walking all the way across the territory was going to be a feat. Maybe she could find some way to drag him by the time his strength gave out on him... She would set the pups to that task, to keep their eyes off Raist. She watched him struggle to his feet, and glanced over at her pups. They were all obeying-even Hikaru. Something about the whole thing had them scared stiff. She turned her attention back to Raist, getting as close as she could so he could lean on her if he needed, and spoke to distract him.
"Well there's no need to swim. The alphas and I have a secret entrance in our den-though it might be tricky hauling you up the cliff. There's no water, so you can just make your way down there. It's an escape route and a flood guard all in one." She laughed at her own joke, trying to lighten his spirits, and looked over at her pups. She called to them so she didn't have to leave Raist's side.
"Kids, come over to my right side, please." They obeyed cautiously, the weak-hearted among them flinching at Raist's appearance. They might have been sick if they'd seen his other side. She smiled as they gathered to her right. "Okay, we're going to take Raist home to see Maname, and I need you guys to do something for me. While we're in the forest-first of all, I want you to be totally on-guard because that wolf is still out there somewhere and we don't want any of you hurt. I want you to look for something big-a banana leaf, or a carcass-that we can drag Raist on. It hurts him very much to walk, so it has to be big enough so he won't fall, and we'll pull him home as much of the way we can. Okay? Can you do that for Mommy?" They nodded, some of them still avoiding looking at Raist. She looked at him, a sad smile on her face.
"We're ready when you are." |

Raist chuckled softly at Dawns joke, he stood listening to her talk to her pups before looking back at him, he nodded. "Then lets get this show on the road..." And he started to limp towards the grotto, on high alert in case Gibari tried to come back.

Dawn started walking with him, trying her best to make sure he wouldn't fall over. Her pups followed suit until they got to the forest, then they started searching for something to put Raist on. They were careful to stay close to their mother, however. [ooc]Okidoke, we'll continue this in the forest board.  [/ooc] |
