*Hitoban now realized what it was that made her hesitate in the first place. Tsuki's fur WAS different. Then what Kage said sunk in.*
"I don't...have a pack right now Kage. I'm not much help to ANYONE at this time."
*She gently stepped off of him and instead sat down next to him, being gentle with her paw.*

Kage walked slowly by Hitoban and whispered, *Why do you think he came back? He doesn't even realize the real reason himself, Hitoban.*
Tsuki's head was tilted with a puzzled expression as Kage went to help Dante off the ground. Then he grinned at Hitoban, "Well, that's ok, Hito; don't have a pack yet either, but Dad felt like it was some big deal to 'pass his mantle from father to son' or something like that. Hehe." He exaggerated his expressions when he imitated Mar.
Dante shook his head, "No... that's not it at all." He nodded to Kage that he could stand on his own now, and stepped out into the light. "A seal was placed on you and on your brother, Kage, at birth. It was some ancient ritual from your ancestors. Your father was rash, and thought that the power of this seal was some great gift to make you both stronger. But instead, the seal consolidated your bodies into one. While you did get stronger from it, Kage's body was absorbed into yours. Mar cast you out because it caused his heart great pain, not because he did not love you. He and I have been searching for all these years for a way to break the seal; that crescent moon on your chest."
Tsuki looked down at his chest, then at the identical one on Kage's.
"Yes, those are the seals." Dante confirmed, "Unfortunately, we found the counter-spell too late; Kage's life and soul will forever be bound to you, but we were able to weaken it, so that Kage can travel on his own for a greater distance than before."
Kage cringed. He was trapped, but life would continue. He would help Tsuki, protect him, and help him lead his pack... if he ever settled down.

*Hitoban listened, head tilted, with curious awe at Dante's story. Yes, she had known that Dante was looking for Tsuki, but she had never gotten to know why. Now that she knew, she too cringed at Kage's situation. His was so like her sisters'. Not exactly, of course, but there were similarities. She didn't even know she was speaking until she had already begun, but once she started, she couldn't stop herself.*
"Katashi and Kazumi were created out of my own mind, and they are technically only my conscious, not my sisters, but they have been with me for as long as I can remember. Katashi came first. When Missy came and attacked my family's pack, I lost control-lost my innocence-and Katashi was born. Kazumi didn't come along until Dawn did. Dawn made me the happiest I had felt in a long time, and explained why I couldn't let Katashi out when she wanted, unless it was an emergency. Then I was having trouble keeping her under control, so she tended to run amok a lot. One day, I just kind of...morphed into this white wolf. Dawn didn't know what was going on, and she thought it was Katashi. It wasn't-it was Kazumi-but she attacked her anyway. That's why she's got red staining her coat. That's also why she doesn't try to force herself out like Katashi does, she just stays there until I'm so happy that I unconsciously call her out, or I consciously call her because I need her. Even then, she's still reluctant."
*Hitoban had been looking into space while she told her story, but now she focused in on Tsuki. She smiled at him, then stood up, walking over to him again. She plopped down and nestled her face into the fur on his chest.*

Tsuki looked down at Hito's head in surprise, Kage, what do I do? Is she okay?
Kage giggled a bit in the mind-space they shared, It's a sign of affection, Tsuki, she's not gonna pass out or anything, don't worry.
Oh, okay... Tsuki reciprocated by resting his head gently on hers.
Dante smiled gently, then took an inventory of all that had happened.
Tsuki was back, Hitoban was fine, and he was covered in blood and vomit... yep, that seemed about right. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'll go bathe." He said, bowing out quietly.
Kage laughed, "Sure, take it easy for a while, we'll be here." Then he turned back to Tsuki and Hitoban. The seal on Tsuki's chest changed from gold to a deep red. It was a nice color, Kage thought... Wait a sec... uh, Tsuki? Are you bleeding?
Tsuki retreated to the thought-space, No, why?
Nothing, just asking, Kage surmised the color change to be just some harmless expression of the seal. He decided to leave the two alone for a bit, and faded from view.
After the long silence, Tsuki finally looked down at her and said, "Well, it looks like we have time to catch up now. So, how have you been, Hito?"

*She moved her head so she could look into his eyes.*
"It's been Hell Tsuki. I was so worried about you. Dawn came back to me though-that was good. But Wahya kind of banished me from his sight. My emotions got a little out of control and Katashi came out. She chased Dante, and I was too weak from nearly drowning to stop her. She followed him, and he got hurt and then she retreated and I passed out. Then I guess when Dante woke up he hit his head on something and passed out again. When I woke up again, I sent Kazumi out to help him. Then you and Kage came and well...here we are."
*She buried her face back into his chest, breathing him in.*
"I really have missed you Tsuki. You don't even know."

Tsuki blushed. "I... I've missed you too, Hito." He said, nuzzling her affectionately... "Wait, did you say DROWNING?!?" He said in shock. Then he digressed. It's been rough for everybody it seems, He thought, probably best not to get too worked up. Besides you're together again, isn't that the important thing?
A smile spread across his face, then the fatigue of his journey finally caught up with him, and he yawned...
"Y'know, if I weren't so tired... I could stand here all day." He looked down at her head, and the seal glowed softly, "but all good things must come to an end, eh? I gotta get some shut-eye, ok?" He stepped back and looked at her again, taking in the full view. "It's good to be home." He said before trotting off to sleep in the cave.

*Hitoban looked up at the moon wistfully and she whispered quietly to herself.*
"Home...well, they say Home is where the Heart is..."
*Then she realized what had just taken place, and she padded softly into the cave as well. She sank down next to Tsuki, curling up and laying her head on his paws.*
"If you think I'm letting you out of my sight when you only just got back, you must be out of your right mind. Besides, it's warmer here anyway. It's winter, and I'd hardy want you to freeze."
*She nestled farther into him and closed her eyes.*

Wahya continues to follow the scent until he comes to the cave, he stops and looks at the entrance a little unsteady. A breeze blows in behind him with some snow, he shivers and decides to walk in. As he walks in he looks around for anything and stops to the smell of wolves.
*sniff sniff*
Hmmm that is them alright... all of them... including that Dante... Wahya sits and looks ahead of him for a second. He sighs, This is not going to be easy.. after what I said to Hitoban... Wahya stands and starts to walk again, as he does the scent of Hitoban and Tsuki grow stronger as he walks in deeper into the cave.

Dante returned from his bath to find Hitoban and Tsuki nestled quietly in a corner of the cave, looking so serene and peaceful. He smiled, then noticed Wahya's scent nearby. He wasn't sure what state-of-mind Wahya was in, so he decided to play it safe, and transmuted a clone of himself from the rocks and some of his hair. It took quite a bit out of him, but he was resolved to keep everyone safe as long as he could, so he transfered a piece of his own consciousness into the statue. This way, he could talk to Wahya without any danger. Well, besides the chance of his consciousness being destroyed along with the body in the case of a fight, in which case his own body would remain as completely empty as it was now. This would also give his physical body time to rest, while he did some investigating. It was not very much unlike a dream, though he had control.
He walked stiffly toward Wahya's scent.

*Hitoban's nose twitched as she smelled Wahya coming into the confines of the long cave. She opened her eyes and saw Dante walking away. He would take care of it. Right now, she just wanted to be with Tsuki.*
*Dawn noticed that Hitoban was a little uneasy by her smell. She hadn't moved, but she still figured she had better go check it out.*
*"Strange...I can't smell Wahya anymore..."*
*She ran toward Hitoban's scent as fast as she could and reached the cave in minutes. She stepped inside and saw Wahya walking along at a rather slow pace. She came up behind him-keeping her distance-and spoke.*
"Wahya...or Giga...What are you doing here? Why did you follow Hitoban's scent. Can't you tell that she's hurt, and she needs to be with Tsuki for a little while??"
*She stood in a defensive position, her tail raised, just in case of a fight.*

Dante's puppet approached Wahya as well, "We don't want a fight, whichever state of mind you're in is inconsequential. Only friends are welcome here."
He stood his ground, waiting for a response, but as with all such things, the strain it placed on his mind was causing him to lose his grip, and the clay and rock began to slowly merge with the cavern floor. He held himself together with all his will, hoping that Wahya was here peacefully.

*Dawn looked around Wahya at Dante with curious eyes-those eyes soon became cautious and she didn't know who to trust more. She looked at Dante and noticed how his feet looked like they were morphing with the cave floor. Then it hit her. Dante was an alchemist. He had made a dummy and attached part of his consciousness to it. Maybe there were both trying to protect Hitoban. She spoke only to Dante now.*
"Dante, is Hitoban back there?"
*Hitoban heard a familiar voice and recognized it as Dawn's. She heard her name being said and wondered what was happening. She looked at Tsuki's face and whispered into his ear.*
"Tsuki, are you awake?"

Dante eyed Dawn cautiously, "And if she is?" Yes. That seemed to be the safest answer.
Elsewhere, Tsuki heard Hito's voice... "Mm? Wha-? Oh, Hito, what's up?" He yawned and blinked several times. He was still tired, but he could set all that aside for a moment.

*Dawn looked at him cautiously.*
"I need to find her. I'm her protector, and if she happens to get hurt, it's all on me. So please tell me, is she in this cave?"
*Hitoban kept looking toward the scene, listening to Dawn's voice.*
"Tsuki, Wahya's here. And Dawn. I think we need to go and check it out-make sure everything is okay."

Tsuki started to get up, when Kage appeared before them, "Tsuki, wait! Remember what happened last time we got involved in Wahya's business? Let Dante handle things."
Tsuki looked anxiously at Hitoban, then Kage, then the wolves standing not far off. He didn't know what to do... Kage was right, but if he didn't at least check on things, they'd never know, right?
Dante looked at Dawn scrutinizingly, "Protector, eh? I don't recall seeing you before, nor was it you who mended her leg, and it certainly isn't you who is with-holding information as to her whereabouts... if you are indeed her protector, I should think you'd know where she is."
Kage looked over his shoulder at the scene. Thankfully, they were tucked away just beyond sight, but finding them wouldn't be hard if push came to shove. "We wait and see how things unfold." came the answer to Tsuki's unspoken question.
