Nasgi listens to Kage's words, but he knew that he was right. Nasgi looks to the gem and thinks about what was to come if he accepts this role. I don't know if I can handle this, I...I don't know...[/b] Nasgi picks the gem up and lays down with it in his mouth.
Wahya falls into a deep sleep as he lays in the snow, violent memories run through as he sleeps. Wahya whimpers and kicks at the snow as he watches the scene again of his pack and mother dying to the poachers. Flames surrounded him as he looks on at the dead wolves laying on the ground and then sees Giga before him. Why do you haunt me even in my dreams!
Heh, because you chose to have me in your body thats why![/b] Giga laughs wicked at Wahya. Wahya snarls and pins Giga to the ground with his mouth over Giga's throat. I do not know why I chose to keep you in me, I was young and did not know at that time! Wahya clamps down harder on Giga's throat.
Wahya laying in the snow, his throat starts to bleed from what looks like teeth digging in, but there was no one touching him around the snow.
Giga just laughs, There is way to control me, but I will not tell you the way! Wahya clamps harder and throws Giga into a fire.
Wahya immediately wakes up with a howl as he stands quickly. He looks around to see that no one was around him, but he was bleeding around the neck and part of his fur was singed. He said something... I can control him... but how Wahya winces from the pain again and looks to the red snow. Wahya shakes it off and looks back from where he came from.

*Hitoban and Dawn, knowing nothing of what had taken place, walked slowly through the trees. Dawn had just told her about Kage's proposal.*
"Dawn I'm so happy for you! But why didn't you tell him you feel the same?"
I dunno... I guess I just wanted to know how you felt first.
"Don't wait for me! You're giving him the wrrong impression. Go tell him right now! I feel someething's wrong though. We need to head back anyway."
*They turned and began trrotting bacck.*
*A few miles away, a young black wolfess with a pouch around her shoulder was gathering healing herbs. Sudddenly, she smelled wolf blood and ran in that direction. She stopped when she saw a badly injured gray wolf. She didn't look so wonderful herself, fur full of twiigs and leaves from when she got stuck in that bush, but she took a cautionary step forward and spoke in a soothing, melodic voice.
"Hello stranger. You seem in need of help. My name is Hina. May I come closer?"

Wahya's ear twitched to the sound of someone one talking, he looks to see a black wolf standing a little distance away. It looked like she had been gathering something because she was covered in twigs leaves. Wahya turns his head only thinking about Giga, "You can come closer if you want..." Wahya tries to ignore the pain, but his neck and shoulder were still bleeding.

Rin padded through the forest, dissapearing shortly after the battle had stopped, she was wandering around looking for Hitoban and Dawn. She kept walking and almost walked right into them. "Hitoban, Dawn!" she said in surprise not expecting to find them so suddenly. "Guys, we were in a bit of a jam while you two were gone, Giga got out again! Mar, Tsuki, and Shimo are injured, and Dantes' dead...." she said kinda in a rush and if they understood a word she said it would have been a miracle, she half expected them to ask her to repeat it again.

*Hina padded swiftly but silently up to the wolf annd began extracting green herbs, leaves, and vines from her bag. She placed the herbbs on a nearby rockk and picked up a stone in her mouth, crushing the herb.*
"So can I ask your name? I dont see many people way out here."
*She spread the herb on three leaves and stuck them on the stranger' s injuries. She tied them skillfully with vines.*
*Meanwhille, Hitoban and Dawn HAD heard what Rin had said.
"Who is Shimo? What happened?? Dante's...dead? Come on Dawn, we've got to check on the boys!"
Rin, keep upp if you can. If you get lost, follow your nose.
*Theey took off like streaks of lightning, eachh following the scent of their loved ones. They reached the meadow in no time. Hitooban located Tsuuki and lay down besider him, nuzzling and licking him. Dawn did the same with Kage.
Kage...I love you. I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, but I just had to thinknof what I would say. I say yes, of course you silly boy! I love you...I love you!

Kage's eye opened slightly, Am I... dreaming? He was still weakened from his own battle as well as Tsuki's injuries; just because he was invincible, didn't mean he couldn't feel pain or fatigue. He smiled widely and giggled, "I'm glad... I thought... maybe I was doing something wrong..." He licked Dawn's cheek before he floated back out of consciousness.
Finally, Tsuki began to stir. All he could feel was pain, like something inside him was broken. He tried to remember what had happened. He was standing, then he felt a strong hatred... then... it killed him. He was so sure of it. It felt like he'd been stabbed in the heart. He tried to take deep breaths, but he couldn't. He listened for the sound of his heart. It was beating irregularly, and the pulse was weaker than it should be. When Hitoban touched him, his heart rate sped up, but it was still too weak from the blow to sustain it. He coughed up some more blood, then smiled. "Hitoban... there you are. I was worried *cough**spit* I uh... I guess this doesn't look too good, huh?" His voice was weak, but not strained. He was able to breathe easily enough, but his heart couldn't keep up with too much activity; it was having trouble just keeping him alive. "I... my heart is going to fail before too long, so I have to go to sleep for a while." His smile faded, and he opened his eyes to look at her, "I don't know how long it will take - maybe one of your sister's remedies will help... I honestly don't... *cough* I don't know... but, *cough**spit* I can't die yet, ok? Believe it. I... I need you to believe it; to believe in our future. We have so much to look forward to, you and I... I need you to believe in us, Hitoban. If you do... *cough* I'll definitely... *cough**spit* I'll be all right."
He closed his eyes, and he could feel the rest of his body shutting down... "I love you, Heets. Remember that." And he was gone again.
Shimo had awoken by this time, and had heard Tsuki's words. "There's too much blood for his heart to handle; we have to bleed him, or his other body parts will shut down completely to give his heart a chance." Somehow, he could hear the blood flowing with his eyes. It was like seeing little pulses of sound, which gave him a picture of the world. He could actually "see" the blood slowing down in Tsuki's body, and also in Kage's. "I need you to believe in me, too, Miss Hitoban. My name is Shimo, and before Dante left, I saw him use his power. The humans did something to me, so that I can learn anything I see, but my body couldn't handle the rate at which I was gathering information, so it transmuted itself, so that I can no longer see. This was to buy time for my brain to adjust. Eventually, I hope to learn to control my ability, but until then, this is the only answer. I guess my point is: I can transmute like Dante. It's not much, and I've still got much to learn, but if you believe in me, I will do what I can." The boy's blind eyes peered into Tsuki's body, "seeing" every system work together to preserve the heart and brain. He slit Tsuki's throat, and it bled profusely. However, Shimo saw the blood pour out, and also the heart picking up speed. He fused the skin and blood vessels back together before too much blood was lost. "That is all I can do for now. He'll be asleep for some time, but I will watch his heart, to keep it from getting overworked. This is something I have learned from a medicine man: the heart does not rest. If a heart cannot rest, then a heart cannot heal. Now this is merely a guess, and may prove to be a stupid mistake, but by removing blood from the system, you give the heart less work to do, allowing it to heal I hope." Shimo tried his best to instill confidence, but he himself was worried, I'm different now... it's like I grew up over night, and suddenly know how to act and what to do... or maybe my body is just using the information like some kind of machine... I wonder... am I still me?

Wahya looks toward Hina as he winces slightly from her placing the herbs on him, "Wahya Ayawisgi is my name, a loner. What are you doing out here all alone without any other wolves around?" Wahya looks to the snow where he had laid and see all the blood, How do I survive after bleeding so much...
Nasgi looks to see that Hitoban and Dawn had made it back, he lays his head back on his head as he continues to think about what Wahya gave to him.

Bull... Mar's voice erupted into Wahya's mind. He was using his snowgem. If you were really a loner, you'd never have been an alpha. You can't be a lone wolf, not without forgetting about anything that's ever mattered to you! And if you did that, you wouldn't be just as bad as Giga, you'd be a coward as well. I have my own pack as well, and I know now how it feels to second guess your abilities, but Tsuki believes in you, Kage wants to, and I know that you can be trusted... don't betray that. Don't betray yourself.

Rin emerged from the forest panting after chasing after Dawn and Hitoban, she collapsed at the treeline and watched the others closely, though kinda lightheaded. She still had the pendant that Dante had given her to give to Tsuki, but she'd wait till he was better before giving it to him.

*Hitoban wanted to attack Shimo when he cut Tsuki's throat, but marveled at his abilities. When they were alone again, she nuzzled her face into his neck and whispered ideas for the future.
"Tsuki...you know what I've always wanted? A family. You know, pups and to see my pups grow up and have pups of their own and grow up in my mother's land. Do you want that too? I think you would. And Kage and Dawn would live here too, and maybe they could have pups too. Wouldn't that be great? All you have to do is stay with me, okay?"
*Hitoban continued whispering to him until she finally drifted to sleep, exhausted.*
*Dawn smiled and nuzzled Kage.*
It's no dream Kage. I really do love you and I want to be with you always. But I dont think I could leave Hitoban. I want to join her pack. I can't leave her again Kage, I can't."
*Hina finished wrapping Wayha's wounds and put her things back in her bag.*
"Do you not have a pack somewhere? You seem more like a strong alpha rather than a loner. I wouldn't mind being in a pack with you."
*Hina realized a second too late what she had said and turned away, blushing.*
"Acctually, I'm not alone. My brother and my sister are here too. We're nomads. My sister and I are excellent healers, and my brother is a tracker. We're supposed to meet at a really beautiful waterfall up the river today."

Shimo was reaching his limit. He too had been injured in the battle, and his body was still trying to fix itself with Dante's power. He was getting dizzy and a bit faint, but he had to help. "Miss Rin, is that you? I... I can't really smell or see right now, but your breathing and gait are very much like Miss Rin's. If it is you... I'm... running out of strength... I... need... you... to listen... to Tsuki's heart..." He could barely get the words out now, "Wake me... if anything... changes..." The words had barely left his mouth before he was asleep. Curiously, he was still siting there, but he snored loudly enough for you to tell he was sleeping. More than likely, one gentle nudge would knock him over.

Rin lifted her head as Shimo spoke to her, though before she got a chance to answer him he had fallen asleep. "I'll keep an eye on him Shimo..." she thought to herself with a slight chuckle, she hadn't been in the fight so she was uninjured but she for some reason felt dizzy, she shook her head to clear it then continued to watch the others as they rested.

Wahya blinks to the sudden words in his head from Mar, his eyes wander as he ponders on the thought, Am I really as good as the others say, because to myself..... I am another problem waiting to happen. Wahya looks to Hina after listening and notice that she had turned away, Wahya lifts a eyebrow, "I... I had a pack, but I gave my title away.... even if I wanted my title back I don't know if I could keep it together then." He thinks again about what Mar said and now what Hina just told him.

Mar finally lifted his massive form from the ground. He was a bit shaky at first, but managed to stand firmly. "Ngh..." He muttered, half from the soreness and half from his drowsiness, "Shimo? Tsuki? Blood?!? What's going on here?!?" He looked around, trying to piece it all together. The blood was from Tsuki's neck, that much was plain, but his neck showed no sign of being cut... did Shimo use his power? "Excuse me, Shimo..." no answer, "Shimo?" still no answer, "Oh, don't be rude now, boy, I just have a ques..tion..." He nudged Shimo's sleeping body, and it fell over into the snow. "Ah... exhausted, huh? Well, that's okay." He finally shook the last bit of drowsiness from him and noticed Rin, watching Tsuki, "How's our boy doing?" He asked. "Were Hitoban or Shimo able to help? Better yet, what can I do? Or what are you doing?" He sniffed Tsuki cautiously, He doesn't smell dead, and Kage's still here... but he's close. He feels cold. His body must be shutting down. He padded over to Tsuki and laid down, pulling him into his chest. He also gently pulled Hitoban next to Tsuki, to "sandwich" him in. "I may not have a lot," He chuckled, "but there is a lot of me, and that's a lot of fur and body heat. Looks like the only thing I can do right now is to keep him warm." He smiled at Rin, "I'll keep an eye on him, Rin, if you've got more important things to do, or maybe you wouldn't mind the company? We could always watch him together. Either way's fine by me."
