Arrival

[Tsukikage]

Back at camp, everyone was ready to go, waiting on the others to return. Tsuki was pleased at how things were going, but then he felt a disturbance, and a great pressure built on his heart. He doubled over and leaned against a tree, straining for breath.
"Tsuki!" Mar cried, "What's wrong?"
Tsuki looked up with a pained expression, "Giga... not far... danger..." he managed to say. He jerked his head in Giga's direction before passing out.
Mar leaped into action immediately. "Kage, help Tsuki. We'll need one of us to stay and watch over him, and everyone else to come with me. If you don't want a fight, don't come; we can't let Giga see fear --his sick mind feeds off it." He paused, realizing that it was not his place to be barking out orders. "Forgive me, Little Miss, this is your pack. What would you have us do?"

*Daisuke flailed helplessly under Giga's grip. He knew better than to lunge at him like that-he was a horrible fighter! He wrenched his jaw open long enough to say Help me Hina! then returned to being shaken.*

*Crap! Hina thought as she saw her brother being beaten so mercilessly. She knew when he called her that there was only one thing to do. She snarled and ran forward, quick as lightning, and rammed into Giga's rib cage. She held onto Daisuke as Giga flew, causing him to tear out a bit of skin, but ultimately let him go. She pounced on him and latched onto his throat. Her sisterly instincts kicking in, she lifted and dropped her head, pounding Giga's skull into the ground and pushing down on his throat at the same time. She had him pinned, but maybe not for long. It would take brother and sister to take down this beast.*

[Rynn]

Rin padded back into the clearing just in time to see Tsuki collapse, She darted over ready to help get Whaya under control again.

[Tsukikage]

"Hitoban! I need your go-ahead!" Mar snapped, "I know this is a critical moment, but there's still protocol to consider. You are alpha here! You give the orders!" He would have liked nothing more than to blow her off and handle things on his own, but that would be disrespectful of his sons, their mates, and everything he'd thought to have accomplished within himself while he was with them; he'd just be going backwards...
Kage vanished, and Tsuki's seal glowed blue, but he was still under a great deal of stress.

[OCC]Totally my bad, I didn't see your post Tsuki.[/OCC]

*Hitoban shook her head, snapping out of it immediately. She turned to Mar and nodded.*

"My apologies, I wasn't myself for a second there. Alright, Kage has the right idea, but I would like someone else to stay with Tsuki as well. Maname, you're not that great of a fighter, correct? But you can hear far away so you would know when danger is coming. You stay with Tsuki and Kage. Mar, you and the rest of you who are willing to fight, possibly to the death, follow me. We have to get this under control before he destroys everything."

*Maname nodded and trotted over, sitting down by Tsuki. Hitoban gathered herself and ran full speed after Rin, catching up with her in mere seconds. She ran slightly ahead of her, keeping perfect time.*

[Tsukikage]

Mar began to follow, but noticed Shimo, who was staring after Maname reluctantly, with his tail between his legs. "Shimo," He called, "If you don't think your up to it, you don't have to --"
"No." Shimo cut him off, twitching slightly as he spoke, "I... I have to help... my friends... right?"
Mar smiled and nodded, then ran off after Hitoban.

Shimo stared blankly at Maname for a while longer. "Must... help... friends..." He said as his twitch worsened. He shook his head to snap out of it, then ran off behind Mar.

[Rynn]

Rin looked over at Hitoban as she pulled ahead of her. 'let us hope we're not too late' Rin thought as the group darted off through the forest towards Whaya.

[Wahya Ayawisgi]

Giga exhales as he gets the air knocked out of him, he tries to get up, but Hina had him by the throat. Giga snarls with each slam of his head to the ground, he shifts his lower body and tries to kick Hina off by kicking into her stomach. "Let go you little runt!"

*Hitoban pulled ahead of Rin, jumped over the bushes, and skidded to a halt, right when Giga had kicked Hina in the stomach. She stood and waited for the others to catch up, watching the fight.*

"Wahya, fight him! Don't let that monster get the upper hand and don't you DARE AGREE WITH HIM!"

*Hina received the kick to the stomach and responded by simply biting down harder and shaking her head violently side to side. She spoke through clenched teeth.*

Wahya I love you but this monster in you has GOT to go! No one messes with my little brother!

[OCC]Okay people, I'm going to set down some rules so this doesn't run on for forever and a day. Here they are:

Everyone is allowed FOUR attacks and FOUR blocks. You can get hit as many times as you want and when your blocks are gone, you're subject to whatever attacks are sent your way. This being said, I suggest you let the less hard attacks hit and save your blocks for the fatal attacks.

THERE WILL BE NO GODMODLEING. You can only set up an attack and hope it hits. The RECEIVER will decide whether or not to let the attack hit. EVERY THROWN ATTACK, HIT OR MISS COUNTS AS AN ATTACK.

You get four attacks and four blocks per character and since Wahya is GREATLY outnumbered, we will allow him to count Wahya and Giga as two separate characters, but they have to act IN character. (Meaning don't try and kill someone Wahya wouldn't kill.)

Shimo rushed faster and faster, bursting into the clearing in a sort of crazed, drunken rush. He didn't see where he was going, his mind just kept blaring HELP FRIENDS... HELP FRIENDS... until he collided with a tree. He shook his head, blood flinging off is forehead. He looked around, and saw Tsubasa just a few feet from him. His friend was dead. He stared at him for quite some time, his face dripping sweat and blood. His breathing became shallow and rapid as his body went into shock. Suddenly, arcs of energy lanced from his body, causing the ground to crack, and leaves, melting snow, and some of Tsubasa's own feathers to swirl around him. The arcs cut patterns into the ground...

Mar ran after Shimo, his huge form crashing through the trees ungracefully. He finally reached the clearing, and stopped dead as he saw the power flowing from Shimo's body, "SHIMO!" He shouted. He turned to Hitoban, barking louder to be heard over the increasing wind. "Hitoban! We have to get out of here! Shimo's lost control! I don't know what he's doing, but he's lost control of Dante's power. We're all in danger!"

The wind began to blow harder and harder, blowing loose debris in a circular motion around Shimo. Tears streamed down his face, and his body began to change...

[ooc] BTW, do transformations count as attacks? And that whole bashing skull into tree deal? Hehe [/ooc]

[OCC]You need to post the score for your characters at the end of every post you made so we can keep track of who's attacked so many times, blocked so many times, etc. And no, they don't count. It only counts as a thrown attack if it's aimed at another participant in the fight.[/OCC]

*Hina stopped bashing Giga's head into the ground to marvel at Shimo while Hitoban flung her head about trying to think through all of the noise.

Run, fight, run, fight, run...fight? I don't know what to do! I need help! Hitoban thought through the frenzy. Suddenly a voice sounded in her head. Fight. You fight and the others run. It's the best for everyone. I'll join you so maybe you won't die.

But Dawn...you haven't spoken to me like this in years...We'll never win! And what about Tsuki...and Kage? How would they feel about almost suicide?

Would you rather have everyone die, or just us? That includes Tsuki and Kage if Wahya's not dealt with.

I...I wouldn't want everyone to die...but...Where are you?

Nearby, waiting for your decision. If you choose run, then we all run for the grotto, if you choose fight, they run for the grotto and I come out to meet you.

But you're just talking about Wahya. What about Shimo? He looks like he's going to explode!

I...haven't figured that out yet.

It's Shimo we're worried about at the moment! We can deal with Giga later!

*Dawn's voice faded for a second and Hitoban knew that she was thinking, not talking to her. She concentrated as much as she could and could barely make out that Dawn had no idea either. She came back and spoke.*

In that case, then we all run. Those back at the camp to. We can carry Tsuki and Kage if we need to, but we have to leave.

S.h.i.t...why was it never this hard being Alphess back in the city? People never went crazy on me in the city, oh no! Now I have to deal with exploding kids and demons...Oh well, I have to answer Mar or he's going to freak out and do everything himself.

*Hitoban nodded and turned to Mar.*

"Let's get out of here!"

*Daisuke heard her and moved to pull Hina away, but she held fast. She growled at him through Wahya's skin and fur.*

Not without him. I plan on finishing this.

*Daisuke sighed and grabbed onto her, pulling her. She held on and he dragged both of them across the clearing to Hitoban, where he let go and looked at her.*

They could be a problem.

I'm not a problem.

*Hina stood up and continued to pull Wahya, or at least attempt to pull him, away from the scene as Daisuke and Hitoban went ahead.*

Shimo cried in pain, his voice carried on the howling wind for all to hear. Then suddenly, the energy bunched together and shot into the ground. The earth beneath them cracked ans shook violently as the pack made their escape, though there was no sound from the environment, only Shimo's cries and tears.
Mar turned and looked back at Shimo. His mind was made up. He tried to tell Hitoban that he was going back for him, but no sound traveled between them. Mar pushed his way through the rushing wind, stumbling over the moving earth beneath him. The wind was so fierce that it cut his skin like a knife, but he continued.

Shimo didn't know what was happening, only that his friend was dead. They were all dead. He was all alone... forever. He'd sink back into the past and live the life of a monster like he was obviously destined to do. Then something called to him, and he felt something warm press against his body. It was fur, dripping with blood and singed with the energy he'd been releasing. It smelled like... "M-Mar?" He cried as the energy spikes died down. He was there, holding him; he wasn't dead... yet.
Mar held the pup against him with one paw, and Shimo cried himself to sleep, at which point Mar too collapsed. They lay there, on the cracked earth, Shimo's fur becoming discolored with Mar's blood. Mar was still conscious, and called to the others. Though they still had Wahya to deal with, their little time-bomb was defused for the moment. He began to lose consciousness, his vision blurring from the loss of blood. He thought he saw small appendages extending from Shimo's shoulders. It couldn't be... he thought as he followed Shimo into dreams... "Wings?"

Giga continues to kick and twist trying to get away from Hina's grip, "I said let go or be prepared whats..." he stops short to notice that Shimo had started with the fancy show. Giga chuckles to himself inside, He is only so mad because I killed that rat with wings that he called a friend. He winces as reality snaps back to him that Hina still had his throat, he snarls.

[ooc] I think you have to put down any attacks you make, and any hits you block or get hit by, so for you, I'd look at what attacks Hina's made, and count that as damage, or use one of your blocks in your post... I think. Is that about right, Hito? [/ooc]

Shimo was woken up by some blood dripping onto his cheek. He quickly squirmed out from under Mar's leg... but got caught on something. It was odd, like someone tugging on his shoulder. He twisted around, trying to get a good view, but a sharp pain shot through the nerves he didn't know he had into his shoulders, and he realized... "Wings? I don't remember..." A blank look washed over his face as images of his overload came back to him. The feathers! Tsubasa's feathers had swirled around him during the release of energy. They must've gotten caught in the transmutation! He tried desperately to pull his wings out from under Mar's body, but he was caught. "Okay, Shimo, think. He's bleeding... I should try and help him first." He nudged his way back under Mar and tried to seal the cuts up, but he couldn't. What the...? Ah! I must've used up all my energy! No! He went straight to work licking Mar's wounds, anywhere he could reach. "At least I can try and clean you up, right? Oh God, what have I done?"

*Hitoban sent Dawn to lead the others back to the camp and turned around, going to check on Mar. She'd seen him leave while they were clearing everyone out but hadn't had time to go with him. So now she cleared the brush and stopped to see a sleeping Mar on top of Shimo who had miraculously sprouted a pair of wings.*

"Wow. Amazing the things I miss in such a short time."

*She saw that Mar was hurt and that Shimo was pinned so she leaned against Mar's huge body and shoved with all of her might. Her claws dug into the ground but she eventually managed to roll him just enough to scoop Shimo's wings out from under him. She then smiled at Shimo and darted into the trees, shortly emerging with three fat green herbs.*

"I figured we would need three because he's so big. I'm no healer, but I've learned a lot in my time. All we have to do is cut these open and squeeze them until the goo inside covers all of his wounds. Oh, and sorry for leaving you back there. It was a very tough decision to make, but I had to protect my pack."

*Hitoban set two of the herbs on the ground between them and sliced one open with a claw in a clean motion. She clambered on top of the huge wolf and began tightening her jaws, leaking the sticky ooze onto Mar's cuts.*

*Dawn and the others arrived back at camp, Hina towing Wahya with all of her force, and Dawn stopped, plopping down for a quick rest. She looked at Maname with tired eyes and sighed.*

How...are they?

They're doing fine. What's the damage report?

Shimo...went crazy...we all came back...Hitoban told me to...send you all to...the grotto.

The grotto?

Yeah...everyone needs to follow me.

*Dawn stood on shaky legs and shook herself off, then walked past Tsuki, going farther into the forest. She stopped to make sure everyone was coming, including Wahya.*
