Home at last

Hitoban pushed Rin into the entrance to the grotto, then climbed in herself. They were immersed in water, and Hitoban held her breath while she pulled Rin by her scruff to the exit. She surfaced first, her grip still on Rin. She braced herself on the stone around the small hole filled with water in the ground and pulled Rin through it. She then shook the water out of her fur and sighed.

"Home sweet home..."

She looked around at the empty grotto and a confused look came over her face. Where was Mar? And Shimo? Tsuki, Kage, and Dawn should be up in the cave, but Mar and Shimo should be down here at least.

"Hello? Anyone home?"

There was a slight shuffling from the back of the grotto, and Maname poked her head out of the Healer's wing. She took one look at Hitoban and Rin and ran toward them.

Oh my goodness! Lady Hitoban, are you alright? What happened to you two? Come on, come back into my room and I'll fix you up.

"Just a second Maname. We found someone in the forest that knows Rin. She should be surfacing soon."

arora broke through the surface of the water, takeing in a gashp of air at the break. she swam over to the edge and pulled her self out of the water and shook her fur and fapped her wings in order for them to dry faster, she closed her and shook one more time before looking up to see hitoban and rin standing there. arora started to walk twards them. "wow this place is pretty." she said looking around

Rin stood and shook her fur out as best she could, she winced as her side throbbed again, and slowly levered herself back down onto the cave floor.

"rin are you going to live?" arora looked at her with big puppy eyes trying to make rin feel at least a little better. arora who had completey frogoten about her back being cut open she steped away from rin to look at her back. "oh heald?... stupid zurara..." she said under her breath hopeing no one heard her.

When Maname saw Arora, at first she could see only her head. But as she pulled herself from the water, it soon became clear that not only was she injured, but she had wings. Maname stared for a second before remembering her manners. "Hello. You must be this guest Lady Hitoban speaks of. I am Maname."

Maname heard the soft wince that came from Rin and looked over at her just in time to see her sink to the floor. She shook her head and padded over to her, standing close enough so she could lean on her.

"Come now, all of you, and I'll fix you up."

Hitoban smiled and shook her head. "I'll be along in a moment Maname. I need to talk to Dawn, Tsuki, and Kage."

At the mention of the boys, Maname suddenly looked pre-occupied. Hitoban caught the change in looks, but decided to wait until everyone was settled in the healer's wing before she asked her about it. Something told her that the boys weren't there.

Rin stood back up slowly and leaned on Maname and let her lead her to the healers wing of the grotto.

Kaze suddenly emerged from the entrance to the grotto he had saw Hitoban and the others go to the grotto and followed, as he pulled himself out of the water he looked around before sitting down and waiting, he could wait and besides he hadn't slept at all since they had left and was now feeling a bit drowsy.

Hitoban's ear flicked back when she heard water sloshing, and she turned, ears pricked and tail wagging slightly, to watch the entrance to the grotto. When Kaze emerged, her tail drooped despite her efforts to keep it level. She turned to Arora and said "If you will excuse us for a moment Arora. Why don't you follow Rin and Maname into the Healer's Wing so that Maname may treat you?"

She limped over to Kaze and sat down in front of him, dipping her head in greeting as she did so. She knew that his first priority would be the health of his sister, but he had been here when Hitoban had not, and she wanted to know the whereabouts of her mate and brother-in-law.

"Hello Kaze. Rin and I ran into a little trouble in the woods. Two of her brothers showed up and we fought and killed them. However, I believe that Rin has broken a few ribs and I got a nasty little gash in my shoulder here. My wound is not of much concern, but Maname is treating Rin at the moment."

Hitoban's eyes began to water and she tried to blink back worrisome tears. She was probably only crying because she was tired, and she was blowing the whole thing out of proportion. Still, she had to say something.

"Kaze, I apologize for changing the subject, but could you tell me where Tsuki and Kage are? I haven't seen them since I returned and I'm a little worried something has happened. Do you know where they went?"

arora looked at hitoban and the other wolf. "sure of course." arora stood up and strolled over to were rin was and fallowed her into the healers wing.

Maname sat next to the stone table in the middle of the largest room in her wing and nodded for Rin and the other wolf to sit on it. "Rin, you can lay down if you want, but I might have to move you once or twice."

She padded into the back room where she kept all of her supplies and pulled out a few leaves and vines. She lay them on the smaller stone table next to the large one and went back for something else. She came back and lay it down beside the others. It was a thick blue herb that practically pulsated with the amount of goop inside it. She would get to it later.

"All right, let's take care of you first. Now I know Rin, but what's your name?"

"oh I'm sorry, the names Arora I'm a friend of rin and i kind of... skidded into view and tagged along." arora looked at the blue herb sitting on the tabel and remembering i horrible incident in the past. "whats that." she said nervously looking at the blue herb. and sorta backing away. "not to jump to conclusions but my wound wasn't that deep and its already healed." she turned to her side showing her that it had healed up already.

(ooc: Hitoban I don' t know how accurate this info is so if I said something wrong tell me and I'll delete it and fix it....XD if possible....)

Kaze looked up at Hitoban as she padded over and spoke to him and he smiled, "Thanks for the information, though one of them was the alphas son, not our brother.... and as for your mate and the others I think they left with Mar to go see what happened to the rest of Mars' old pack...."

Rin got on the larger table and immeditally laid flat on her uninjured side and stared off into space, she was thinking about Akiras and Hiros' final words as they both died.

arora who was listing to everyones conversations and all the sounds decided to zone out on everyone, she sat down and stared off in the distance with out blinking she just froze in place. "i wonder when is she going to show herself...what would i do?....more like what would i say?....god I'm talking to my elf... but still..." she thought to her self still frozen In place.

Hitoban listened with interest as Kaze spoke of the others leaving, and a wave of loneliness crashed over her. Sure they probably thought that it was a family thing, but couldn't they have at least waited until she and Rin got back? They didn't even say goodbye. Dawn probably didn't go with them, but the odds were that she was out hunting. She gets bored often, so sitting home alone isn't exactly something she'd like to do with her time.

"I see...thank you Kaze. Is there anything you need? I think Dawn's out hunting, so we'll get some food soon, but if you have an injury or anything, let me know kay?"

Maname smiled and nodded at the information. "Pleased to meet you Arora. I am Maname, the healer of Lady Hitoban's pack." She tilted her head at the odd reaction to the cast herb that she'd brought out, and when she spoke Maname quickly shook her head.

"Oh no, no. That's not for you-that's for Rin. It's a cast herb. Since she broke her ribs, I'm going to put it around her chest and it will harden, allowing the bones to heal. The leaves and vines were for you, but since you're no longer bleeding, I'll use them on Lady Hitoban's shoulder." She smiled and looked at Rin.

"Now when most healers say 'this won't hurt a bit' they don't mean it. When I say it right now, I completely mean it. All it is is a cast that will protect your ribcage as it heals. I expect you to rest for at least three weeks and let those ribs heal. That means no hunting, no fighting, try not to swim too much-meaning you might want to either go to your home pack or stay here for a while-and definitely no revenge-seeking. I don't know what it is about the wolves of this place, but everyone's out for revenge! Now, hold still for a minute."

Maname picked up a paw and slit a circle in the herb. She pulled the skin off of it and tossed it to the side. Light blue goop oozed from it, and she wiped it up with her paw. She then proceeded to very carefully and slowly spread the goop onto Rin]s chest. When she needed to, she turned her, and soon she was back on her uninjured side with a hardened blue cast around her ribcage. Maname took the shell of the herb and tossed it in a makeshift garbage bin behind her, then turned to Rin with a smile.

"Okay Rin, you're all fixed. It shouldn't hurt much anymore because of the cast, but that doesn't mean you should strain yourself. You can walk about and eat and the like, but just remember what I told you a little while ago. Now, one of you go and get Lady Hitoban so I can stop that bleeding."

arora snapped out her thoughts and listened to maname. "I'll get hitoban rin doesn't need to be walking around or anything like that." she said with a grin and i nod in rins direction. she stood up and walked to the entrance or the wing, "oh by the way nice to meet u maname." she turned and walked out of the wing. Arora steeped out and seen hitoban sitting there she slowly walked up behind her but making enough noise to where they could hear her come up. "hitoban, maname would like to treat your wounds as soon as she could."

Rin looked over at Maname as she got off the table, "I'll stay here, and you don't have to worry about me seeking revenge......their the ones seeking it....and they'll find what they seek eventually..." she then turned and followed Arora out of the wing. Once back in the main room she went and laid down next to her brother, who gave her a smile, "Glad to see your alright..." he said still smiling though he looked tired, Rin noticed this and rolled her eyes, "Kaze have you been up alnight? No wait don't answer that and just get some sleep." Kaze just nodded before laying his head on his paws and he fell asleep. Rin chuckled slightly and did the same.
