Regarding Inactivity...
If both of the Alphas (or The Alpha if there is only one) fall inactive, their land will become "up for grabs." If the Alphas have not posted in their lands for three weeks' time, the land is officially "up for grabs." This means:
If You’re Requesting on Being an Alpha…
If you want to be an Alpha/Alphess of an ALREADY EXISTING pack, this concerns you. You must have at least 40 posts. Your wolf must be in good condition-that means not sick, injured or otherwise incapable of winning a fight if they were in real life. They must also be around the same age of the Alphas/Alphesses they are challenging.
What must happen:
If you want to take over the pack, you must stake a challenge on their territory. If, after three days the Alpha hasn't accepted your challenge, you get the land with no fight. However, if they do accept, you both have to battle. All battles will take place in the Combat Cave. The challenger make the rules, and the one being challenged can choose to accept or "Haggle" (see below). Here is an example of the rules template:
What’s at stake: Territory, certain wolves, mates, whatever you want.
Death? Whether death is on the line or not. This has to be agreed upon by both parties!
Posts Per Person: However many posts each party gets before the fight’s over.
Blocks each: However many times each wolf can deflect the other’s attack.
Of course, rules can always be added. You can also choose who you want to judge the fight (though they must be a staff member). If you don’t pick one, someone will just do it automatically. If the staff member has something big to gain or lose from one or the other winning, they may NOT judge. I will decide when this is the case.
If/when you win, you can choose which wolves (if any) in the existing pack you want to stay. If you don't want any to stay, they can either leave, or you can force them out by battling them. The same goes for if you want them to go. Be warned! If you battle a wolf unwilling to stay/leave and they win, they can take your Alpha position from you!
Haggling: When the challenger makes the rules, the one being challenged can haggle to change the rules. This involves a series of compromises in exchange for things. For example: If the challenger says "If I win I want your land. You can only have one block." and you want more than one block, the one being challenged can say "Haggle: If you win, you get the land and one female of your choice in exchange for two blocks." The challenger can choose to either accept or decline. The one being challenged has three chances to haggle. If they fail the third time, they can choose to either forfeit, or go as it is.
If You’re Requesting on Making a New Pack and Being the Alpha/Alphess of it.
If you want to be the Alpha/Alphess of a NEW TERRITORY, this concerns you. This is considerably harder to get, simply because making a whole new land takes a lot of time and effort. So, the standard is higher. You must have at least 100 posts for this. You don’t have to have a mate, but if it were me, I would want one. (If you don't have a mate, it's just you in the land alone until someone else comes along, and that can get pretty boring. At least if you have a mate you have one other character to RP with while you're waiting for your pack to grow.)

- The land no longer belongs to those alphas. It is free territory.
- The next ranking wolves, whether they be Beta, Delta, Healer, or just regular Wolf or Wolfess, may "rise to power" if the other wolves support them. This is where they call a pack meeting and say that they will be the new Alpha. Sort of like planting a flag. They must then go and mark their new territory without protest. Once done, they are the official new Alpha.
- If the other wolves don't accept this rise to power, there will be "mutiny." The wolves will run rampant until:
Another wolf comes that they accept.
Someone challenges the old Alpha and waits the predetermined three day grace period. Only an outsider may do this. The pack members may only rise to power.
