A small creature walked through the grass, a small breeze blowing along, ruffling the fur of young Karrai. There were a few other wolves around, and maybe some birds chirped overhead, but he wasn’t overly interested. He didn’t really want any others coming up to him, mainly because he didn’t know anyone. He’d often tried to get to know others, but it never worked. He was just too shy.
Still walking, Karrai noted a few pups playing In the distance, and remembered when he used to be able to do that. Of course, that was before he began being ignored, for some reason or another. He always thought it was because of his fur, but other wolves had some pretty strange colors as it was, so he found that hard to believe. Nevertheless, it didn’t change the fact that he was ignored.
With a small shuffle of his feet, Karrai prodded at the ground before sitting down and letting the cool spring air blow through him, his fur ruffling playfully. The grass danced around his ankles, and his fur shined it the bright daylight. He hated it. He wanted the moon to be out, so he could run in the dark and feel good as he always did at night. Still, that was a few hours away. All he could do for now was wait.

A wolf as black as coal sat towards the edge of the meadow. Sapphire blue eyes roaming the meadow examining the world around her. She had never been in these meadows. She had never really had a reason to come here to the loner lands. She heard the pups playing several feet away from her. She watched them play for awhile before something caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. She noticed it was a wolf with really brightly colored fur. She had never seen this wolf before so she slowly stood, stretched, and made her way over to the wolf who was now sitting down enjoying the spring breeze.
Once she got close enough for the wolf to hear her she sat down and smiled, "Hello, your a new face around here. Whats your name?"

Surprised by the new voice, Karrai couldn’t help but jump in surprise. Ears perked, he turned his head in confusion until his eyes finally rested upon another wolf, black in color. Immediately, his head was lowered, as he didn’t want to look at the wolf directly, unsure of what their position may have been. But…he was asked a question. Should he answer it? Karrai didn’t know what to do.
Wolves didn’t just walk up to Karrai; it just didn’t happen. Ever, period. Did he do something? Say something? Perhaps this was her spot. However, then Karrai actually began interpreting the wolf’s question. It was nothing threatening or interrogating, just a simple request for a name. Still, he didn’t want to talk.
Still looking at the ground, Karrai took a step back and remained silent. His tail was low, and so were his head and ears. He didn’t want to do anything offensive.

The black wolf tilted her head to the side as the wolf bowed his head a backed away slightly. She shook her head chuckling softly. "Its alright, out here all wolves are equal. Theres no rank system out here so we are all on the same level" She smiled at the wolf again and asked her question again, "So whats your name? Mines Fallen."

His ears tilted back, as Karrai wasn’t entirely sure as to whether he wanted to speak. Sure, the wolf seemed nice enough, but so did all other creatures before they betrayed you. He just needed to think on it for a moment.
After a brief pause for some mental reasoning, he decided that it would be best simply to humor the wolf with whatever questions she may have, and not give out more information than actually necessary. His paws pulled in towards him, and his eyes fixated on the ground, he opened his mouth and said, “My name’s Karrai. Hello, Fallen.” He wasn’t overly fond of her name; it just seemed saddening. Still, he was in no place to judge her until she gave him a reason to.
He didn’t want to look at her. It gave him the sense that he wasn’t being observed, even though he knew he was. Even without looking, he could feel the eyes of other wolves burning into his sides, staring at his oddly colored fur. He wasn’t overly ecstatic about it. Perhaps he shouldn’t have come to a social land after all…

Fallen could tell that her gaze made Karrai uncomforitable and turned her Sapphire-blue gaze towards the meadow and focused on the pups for several seconds. "Pleasure to meet you Karrai..." she trailed off as she looked around the clearing a few wolves had entered, they were stragglers from the New Moon lands who had ditched when the new Alpha showed up. She watched these wolves for several seconds before shaking her head, 'fools' she thought to herself, 'they were probably better off staying in Heart territory...' She blinked and shook the thoughts from her head, 'So Karrai" she said still not looking directly at him, "What are your plans? You gonna join one of the packs that surround this place? Or remain a loner and just wander? If I'm asking questions you don't really wish to answer that is fine I can leave you in peace if you so wish."

Karrai didn’t acknowledge her polite comment. It wasn’t necessary to respond to something that didn’t require an answer. He raised his eyes, but kept his head low, as to watch what the female was doing, while keeping himself in a safer position. She was starting at others for some reason, and her expression was less than polite towards them. Still, they were not Karrai’s problem.
Am I…am I going to join a pack? He asked himself. Truthfully, he didn’t know. Though it would be smart to join one for protection, he wouldn’t be of any use, which would simply result in his being shunned again. He also appreciated that she said that he was not required to answer. He really didn’t enjoy being forced to answer any question, which made him feel much better when this wolf understood that.
“I don’t know, Fallen. I don’t think…I don’t think I’d be much use to any others…” Though it was pitiful to say, it was also very true, and that was even worse than having to say it.

Fallen blinked surprised by the young wolfs comment. "And what makes you think you wouldn't be of any use to others? I'm sure you'd have some talent that would benefit a pack...every wolf does..Or at least that is my belief." She turned her gaze away from the pups to glance around the clearing, she spotted a few other wolves who had left New Moon Territory after the new Alpha claimed the territory, they probably would have been better off if they had just stayed in the territory, they might have a hard time finding a new pack but then again maybe not...who was she to 'predict' their future...for it was not hers to tell, she wasn't a god.

Karrai didn’t answer immediately; he didn’t know what to say. Surely if she knew him enough, she would know that he served of no use to any others, or at least that’s how he felt about it. He stared intently at the ground, not wanting to respond, but knowing that he was obligated to after her willingness to talk to him. However, he would at least put it off for as long as he could.
He looked at other wolves playing around, some basking in the sunlight, others running with some pups. They all looked so at ease. Turning back to Fallen, Karrai caught a glimpse of her looking at him before he quickly looked down again, “Well, I…I just never seem to do much. I don’t even know why you’re talking to me.”

Fallen smiled, "Because you are a new face around these parts and would have been rude of me to ignore that. And if I said or asked something I shouldn't have I applogize...I was just curious as to why you thought yourself worthless to others...Its boring...traveling alone...I would know, I was a loner once myself, and it was rather boring and got old after awhile with no one to talk to." She shook her head, "I'm rambling aren't I? My appologies.."

No emotions were incredibly noticeable on Karrai's face, mainly because he wasn't looking at her. He didn't want to talk, he didn't want t obe spoken to, but it woud somply be rude to not say anything at all. Perhaps there was some way to subtly tell this wolf that she was less than welcome to speak to him? Of course, that could possibly result in a problem, which Karrai also didn't want.
Shifting his paws about unsteadily, Karrai looked up and, with just a small hint of annoyance, said, "Yes, you are rambling."

Fallen bowed her head and chuckled softly. "My apologies again." Another wolf entered the clearing he was the exact same color as Fallen she blinked, she knew that wolf anywhere, it was her brother Kaze. "Well anyways, I can tell I'm bothering you....If your looking to join a pack there are four choices, I don't know about the other three packs but I know for a fact that New Moon will accept you, because I'm the Alphess of New Moon and I think the Alpha will also agree to accept you into our ranks, but its your choise, take some time and think. Anyways, I gotta get outta here before all heck breaks loose between me and my brother...see ya around Karrai!" And with that she bolted off.
The black male who had entered the clearing followed his fleeing sisters form with his eyes from where he stood, he sighed still too shaken by her betrayal to really care. He padded around for several seconds before laying down several feet away from Karrai with a huge sigh.
