[Tsukikage]

Shimo leaped several feet backwards in a very cat-like manner. He blinked at Wahya, wide-eyed and afraid. "What's wrong?" He asked, tears beginning to fill his eyes, "Wha-... what'd I do?!?" He curled up and cried, What'd I do wrong? he thought.

Tsuki was roused from his trance by the young wolf's cry. It pulled at his heart, and he knew he must help. He walked over to the group, "What's going on here?"
He'd been out of it for a bit, but he now took inventory and was intent on taking charge of the situation, No way around it, I am going to be the alpha of these lands. He sighed, Ok, so dad dragged in a bear, and is now totally wiped out. Dante is still alive, but asleep. This new guy came along, and... a bird? Hawk. It's a hawk. Ok... and Wahya...
"What's wrong, Wahya?" He asked calmly.

[Rynn]

Rin continued to sit where she was watching the others.

Kira looked at the wolf as it cried. She half wanted to comfort it and half wanted to smack it one over the head and tell it to grow up. She didnt go over and comfort it neither did she go smack it one. She looked to the wolf feeling sorry for it then looked to wahya.

[Wahya Ayawisgi]

Wahya looks to Shimo then to Tsuki. He pulls him aside out of Shimo's hearing, and whispers.

"Look Tsuki, this wolf is a magnet to hunters now. That mark he drew in the ground is something they use to sell us after they kill and skin us. With him here, he is putting you, me and every pack and member in danger. As far as we know, the hunters can be moving in right now to take him and any others that are with him."

Wahya glances at Shimo then back to Tsuki.

"I don't feel comfortable with him around. I do not want to lose any wolves to any damn hunter!"

Maybe you should go ahead and kill him. Leave his body to them so that he is delt with.[/b]

Wahya thought about what Giga said.

Be quiet!

You said it yourself, you don't like him here. So kill him and the hunters will go away.[/b]

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki stepped back in surprise, "What? Hunters?!?" He shot a quick glance at Shimo, this kid?
A hunter's mark... what would this mean for the pack? Tsuki couldn't afford to endanger everyone, but at the same time, he didn't want to abandon this odd-ball wolf. There was no way around it. He marched up to Shimo, looked him in the eyes, and asked plainly, "What do you know about hunters? Human hunters..."

Shimo stared at this guy. He was so serious, but he looked awfully kind. He shook his head, "I can't tell the difference between a human and a possum; remember? I only knew you guys were wolves because you said so... as for hunters... the marks... me... I don't kn--" His sentence was cut off by images flashing through his mind. A strange fleshy creature with no fur. He had weird paws. They were coming straight for him.

What Shimo saw now was far beyond his understanding. It was a suppressed memory of sorts, though not suppressed by him. He saw a laboratory, several humans, and his own body, sedated. When the humans had finished their experiment, they tagged his ear for observation in the wild.

Shimo flinched. It felt like his head was on fire. He couldn't understand any of it well enough to convey it to the others. He started to cry again. "I... I don't know!" He shouted, "I don't know at all! Make it stop! STOP IT!!!"

Then he saw Tsuki, walking among the humans, speaking with them. Tsuki was not allowed to see what was going on, and was quickly "escorted" to another room.

"YOU!!!" Shimo cried, "You're the reason I can't remember anything! It's all your fault! Make them go away!!!"
Tsuki was caught off-guard, "Me? What'd I do?" he tried to remember anytime he'd seen this wolf, but nothing came to mind. He had to try ad understand, "Make who go away?"
Shimo stared hatefully at Tsuki, "The hairless things. With the weird paws."
Tsuki became worried, "Those are humans. What'd they do to you?" He was trying not to fall under Shimo's pain, though his seal began to darken slightly.
Shimo took several deep breaths, and the nightmare went away, he stared at the snow in front of him. "I don't know..." He took his twig and began drawing again. "But, there was this old one; his is the only face I could see."
Tsuki stared in shock. It wasn't perfect, but the picture was unmistakably the human, Chester, from the city. Tsuki's eyes filled with tears, That must've been one of those days that I wasn't allowed to see Chester. How many more are like this guy? He turned to Wahya, tears streaming down his face "It's one of the humans from the city... you remember? Anyway, the kid's safe, for now; they tried to get me to wear the same tag, but his tag is gone, so they can't find him. They won't be able to trace him with that ring alone." He turned back to Shimo, "I did work with these humans for a time, and even spoke their language, but I swear on my life that I had nothing to do with this. I'll do whatever I can to take care of you, but you have to trust me, okay? First, I need to know where you came from."
Shimo sobbed, but he saw that Tsuki had been crying this whole time. Maybe... "I have no idea, but it was a long way from here. There was a waterfall, and a cave with a bear, and a big lake, and a long drop... and a path leading back down to the ground. It was like I was in the sky."
A mountain... it could've been just about any mountain.
"Then there was this place with flat stone everywhere," Shimo continued, "some standing straight up like a tree. The 'human' things went in and out of them. I decided to stay clear of that."
Tsuki let out a sigh of relief, there were no cities near here that he knew of, so the chances of a search party being able to track the white wolf from his starting point were severely diminished. Most likely, Chester would find another pet. "Ok, we should be safe, at least from Chester."

[Wahya Ayawisgi]

Wahya looks to Tsuki that somehow, was around the same human that Shimo was. He looks back to Shimo with his eyes narrowed then back to Tsuki.

"If you think we are safe then I am alright, but the moment hunters start appearing we will need to talk."

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki nodded, drying the tears from his eyes, "Agreed. That ok with you, Tsubasa?" He looked up to the hawk, perched in a tree not far off. The bird nodded, knowing full well that none of them would be able to understand him.
Tsuki turned his gaze back to Shimo, "You hungry? Dad brought back a bear!"
Shimo looked at Tsuki apprehensively, "Um... I already ate." He said, gesturing to a nearby plant.
Tsuki stared at the plant. Several of it's branches were stripped bare, others were chomped off entirely. So this is it. Chester was trying to increase a wolf's survivability by altering its diet. If any more of us were affected by this, it'd throw the food chain off too much. What were you thinking, Chester? He shook his head. Whatever the humans were doing didn't matter now. Shimo's peculiar diet and abilities wouldn't be much of a burden, and they were far enough away from any cities, The only thing we can do is move forward and keep living. "If anything does happen," He said to Wahya, "I'll give my life to protect this land. I am an alpha now, after all."
Tsuki walked over, took a big chunk of meat out of the bear carcass, and began chomping it down. "You guys gonna let this go bad?" He chuckled.
Mar woke up, and even Dante came to have a bite. Everything was going to be fine.

[Wahya Ayawisgi]

Wahya looks on to the others and Tsuki and chuckles to himself. I know you will Tsuki.... I know you will...

Wahya walks over and starts to eat from the bear.

[Rynn]

Rin got up and trotted over to the bear and started eating. Once she ate her fill she walked over to Shimo, "You'll be alright with us.." she said as she sat next to him, "you heard Tsuki, the hunters are too far off, and I agree with him when he said that they shouldn't be able to track you with just the ring alone...." She turned and gave him a warm smile. "Oh, and by the way, the names Rin.."

[Tsukikage]

Shimo looked up at Rin from his newfound spot under a nearby tree, and immediately blushed. Tsubasa let out a string of his bizarre hawk-noises, and Shimo snapped out of his blank stare. He'd never really met a female before, but knew that both she and Kira were girls. "Um, hi... I'm uh... I'm Shimo" He wasn't sure about wolf etiquette in the first place, but to have a one-on-one conversation with a female? He swallowed hard and giggled, "Um, I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what the rules are for speaking with a female. I mean, I've seen some species have this sort of command over their males, others, the female is weaker. How do wolf male-to-female relations work? Am I even allowed to look at you?" He gasped and shoved his nose deep into the snow, yelling out a muffled, "I'm sorry! Oh God! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Tsubasa laughed quietly to himself, but decided to let the wolf teach the boy how to be a wolf.

[Rynn]

Rin looked at Shimo and chuckled a little bit. "No, with wolves there is no major rules, just do as the Alphas tell you, Tsuki and Hitoban are the alphas here and you will do well to listen to them, other than that everyone here is treated as equals, in my understanding anyway, which means your allowed to look at feamales as well as males when they speak." She looked up at the hawk, Tsubasa, she'd never really seen one up close but she had always loved to watch them fly, she never really knew why. Turning her attention back to Shimo she waited for him to pull his nose back out of the snow.

[Tsukikage]

Shimo pulled his head out of the snow, his cheeks still tinted with crimson. "Oh, really?" He smiled at Rin, "Okay then... um... I'm Shimo. Gah! Wait! I already said that! Grr!" He twitched and wiggled uncomfortably, then settled down and tilted his head with a grin, "Hehe, like I said, I'm not very good at this wolf stuff..."

[Wahya Ayawisgi]

Wahya finishes eating his share of the bear and walks over to the small pond to get a drink of water and rinse the blood of around his muzzle. He looks into the water and sees Giga on his reflection.

What are you waiting for, kill that wolf. He will only cause more trouble if he stays around here.[/b]

Wahya justs narrows his eyes and grunts at Giga in the reflection.

Kira chuckled at Shimo. She got up shaking off and looked around. "mind if i take a look around Tsuki?" Kira as usual was starting to feel restless. She looked around exited, she always loved to explore new places, meet new wolves and get to know them. She was a bit of an adventurer and a bit hyper at times but she could be calm and serious. When she was alone she was the joker to those she knew and still felt kind of that way though joining a pack had really changed her a lot. Now she was more serious about things and wasnt as clumsy or hyper. She looked to Tsuki and Shimo, then to Wahya then Rin. She chuckled glad to be among them again and glad she met Tsuki and Shimo. Overwhelmed by happiness and exitement Kira looked around dizzily and finally fell knocking herself half unconcious on the floor. To those who didnt know her well she mght have looked demented or crazy though it was normal to her.

[Rynn]

Rin seeing Kira fall over just chuckled, "same old Kira...." She turned her attention back to Shimo, "Oh, it's alright, you'll learn in time...if you stay around us that is...." Rin sighed, "I'll be back later alright?" Without waiting for an answer she walked off poking Kira as she walked by her and then dissapearing into the forest.
