[Rynn]

Rin padded through the forest, all her senses were alert trying to pinpoint exactly where they were. She saw another flash of white fur and turned to look where she saw it. 'They're toying with me..' she thought to herself as she continued to walk, 'oh well, they'll show themselves eventually...'

Rin continued to pad on until she came into a small clearing she padded into the middle of it and sat down. "Akira and Hiro...I know your there show yourselves...." Two wolves emerged from the forest across from her, one white and one grey the white smirked, "Hello sister....ready to finish what we started?" Rin growled softly, "Ready whenever you are.." Akira smirked and stood still for a few seconds before flicking his tail at the grey. Rin stood the fur along her back on end as she snarled a challenge at Akira. Akira smirked, "Hope your ready to die my sister....cause you will die here!" and with that he ran and lunged at Rin fangs bared.

Hitoban slunk through the bushes, smelling Rin and two other wolves nearby. She soon heard voices and soon after she saw three wolves, one of them Rin, in a small clearing. She crouched down low and flattened her ears to her head, peering just over the top of the bush. She knew how to hide and she knew how to hide well. She saw the wolf lunge at Rin and quickly looked to see how Rin was reacting.

Rin lunged away from Akiras' attack with ease. But she had been unprepared for Hiros' sudden attack from the side and was pinned to the ground with Hiros' fangs deep in her side. With a snarl Rin unfurled her wings hitting Hiro under the snout and sending him flying backwards off her. Once she was on her feet again she furled her wings back in and lunged at Hiro. "Stay out of this 'till its your turn..." She bit down into his shoulder and flung him across the clearing, but before she had a chance to turn around Akira landed on her back shoving her to the ground. "Awwww, come on sis. We're just having a little fun." Rin flipped over onto her back causeing Akira to lose his grip, Rin sunk her claws into Akiras chest and drug down to his stomach. Akira cried out in agony and thrashed about. Rin backed off as she watched her older brother bleed to death. He turned his fading golden eyes to his sister. "This isn't over yet my sister, once we don't return the pack is coming after you.....just let us kill you so you don't have to bring your friends anymore trouble...." A evil smile spread across his maw as the light faded from his eyes.

Rin was horror struck, she hadn't wanted to bring any trouble to her friends but it seemed that if she lived through this she was going to die when the pack showed up. Rin shook the thought out of her head, she had one wolf to go before she could go back to the others...but she knew that Hiro was going to be more of a challenge then her brother.

Hiro padded back into the middle of the clearing, "As son of the new alpha I hereby exile you from our pack and our lands...." he went to continue but Rin was laughing. "What's so funny!?" he demanded. Rin managed to get her laughing under control, "I haven't been apart of that pack since I killed my father!" With a snarl Rin launched herself across the clearing and into Hiro. Hiro snarled and quickly kicked up into Rins stomach sending her flying backwards to hit the ground with a thud leaving her winded. As she struggled to regain her breath, Hiro padded up smirked darkly and sunk his fangs into Rins' throat and sent her flying into a tree. A loud snap echoed through the clearing as Rins' ribs snapped and she hit the ground with a cry. Hiro padded over and stood over her with a paw on her throat..."Farewell Rin..." Rin just closed her eyes, 'farewell everyone..' and she waited for the pain to end.

Hitoban watched as Rin fought the first wolf-apparently they were her brothers-and killed him. She listened as the conversation unfolded, then the action started again. For a moment she thought she was going to be okay, but then things took a turn for the worse. She flattened her ears to the sound of the snapping ribs and let loose a low growl as the second brother put his paw on Rin's throat. She stood, making her presence known, and stepped into the fighting ring. Her lip quivered and her fur stood on end as she snarled at the wolf. She took two steps toward him, standing in neither offensive or defensive position-just growling and snarling. Then she spoke, her words hissed and low.

"I am Hitoban no Fokkusu, Alphess of these lands."

That was all that was said before she lunged at the wolf, hoping to pin him down. She snatched at his throat with her teeth and scraped at his side with her claws. She would either kill this wolf or wound him until he was weak enough for Rin to kill. There was no way he was getting away from them.

Rin opened her eyes as she heard Hitobans growl. Hiro was caught off guard as Hitoban showed up, how he hadn't noticed her he didn't know but he was also unprepared for her to attack. She managed to pin him to the ground and he glared up at her. "I don't care if your the Alphess....I will kill your friend or die trying..." Rin forced herself to her paws trying not to wince or cry out, her breathing was ragged and she was bleeding from the wounds recieved from Akira and Hiro. "Just kill him Hitoban......and don't show him any mercy...he doesn't deserve it..." even talking hurt but she didn't care she would be able to lay down and rest soon enough.

Hitoban snarled at the wolf as he spoke and snapped her teeth in his face.

"You will speak when spoken to!"

She glanced at Rin out of the corner of her eye as she spoke, then snapped her attention back to the beast beneath her. Merciless? That was one thing she was not. But this one deserved no mercy. So, following what Rin had said, she ripped out toward his throat, hoping to grab it. Once she had it in her mouth she would toss him, ripping his larynx from his body.

Hiro tried to move but was too slow, though he took a swipe at Hitobans' shoulder right as her fangs clamped around his throat.

Rin meanwhile sat down with her eyes closed her breathing still sounding ragged and was bleeding from where Hiro had bit her neck, she then fell over on her uninjured side with a pained sigh. Hiro smirked as he saw Rin fall over, "your friend doesn't seem all that well...." Rin opened one eye to look up over at Hiro and Hitoban. "Ignore him Hitoban, and either kill him or take him back to the others....I'll be fine..."

Hitoban rolled out of the way of the swiping paw, but the weight of the wolf she was holding in her teeth slowed her and it was of no use. He ripped a large ragged gash in her shoulder and she yelped through her teeth, clamping down harder as she rolled onto her back. She glanced at Rin through the corner of her eye and barely listened to the beast she was holding up by her paws and teeth. She growled, utterly pissed at the mock in this wolf's voice, and decided to finish him. She pulled down on his larynx while pushing his body away from her with her legs, hoping to dislodge the vital organ from the heavy mass it was housed in.

Hiros' eyes bulged as Hitoban started to finish him off. "even if I die...." he choked out, "the pack will still come for her...." he looked over at Rin as he spoke his final words for as soon as he finished his larynx finally came free and he fell to the ground twitching. Rin still lay on the ground the bleeding from her neck had ebbed, and her sides had also ebbed, though she reminded herself that she was laying down and as soon as she moved or got up it would hurt like hell all over again. She looked over at Hitoban, "You alright?" she asked her.

Hitoban kicked the lifeless corpse off of her and lay on her side, panting. Her shoulder bled profusely, but she nodded her head weakly. "Yeah...I'm all good...what about you?" She knew she had to get herself and Rin back home before Tsuki and Rin's brother began to worry, but for now she just wanted to rest.

She felt so tired. Maybe if I just close my eyes for a minute... Hitoban's heavy eyelids closed and re-opened a few seconds later in her attempt at a blink. Everything was swirling and spinning and she felt like the ground was moving beneath her. She closed her eyes, intending to just get a few minutes of rest.

Rin stood slowly and tried not to yelp in pain, as she had predicted as soon as she moved her sides flamed up again she was now positive that they were broken, she padded over to Hitoban and glanced at her shoulder before starting to clean it, "I'll be alright....go ahead and rest...we can head back whenever your ready...." she said in between licks.

Hitoban's eyes opened when she felt Rin cleaning her wound. Though it was small, it was deep and it bled profusely. It didn't concern her, however, as much as Rin's injuries did. The crack she'd heard earlier and Rin's labored breaths led her to believe that one or even a few of her ribs were broken. That couldn't be good for traveling. Hitoban's was merely a flesh wound-it would heal quickly. Rin's injuries would require a few weeks or even months' rest. It would be best if they got home as quickly as possible.

Hitoban gently pushed Rin away and got to her feet, leaning her weight to her left so as not to cause her right shoulder to bleed more than necessary. She crawled under Rin and lifted her, trying to find the right angle so it wouldn't disrupt her ribs anymore. When she thought she'd got it right, she asked Rin.

"Are you okay? It's not that far from the grotto, so I can carry you there and Maname can help both of us. Lying here is no good."

[Rynn]

Rin was caught off guard when Hitoban crawled under and and she winced slightly as she moved but she smiled at Hitoban, "Yeah I'll be alright..." 'for now...' she thought as Hiros words of the pack coming for her when they didn't return, had he been bluffing or did he really mean it....she didn't know...but she hoped it had been a lie. Though somewhere deep down she knew he hadn't been...

Hitoban nodded, a determined look on her face, and began walking. Every time she put weight on her bad shoulder it gushed a little and stung like someone had taken a hatchet to it. She ignored the pain, however, and continued on at a rather slow pace. At least they were getting somewhere...

[Rynn]

Rin snapped out of her thoughts. "You know, I don't think it would kill me to walk Hitoban..." she said eyeing Hitobans shoulder wound as she walked.
