Well since I'm learning how to drive, my mom thought that now is the time to revive her old red car that's been sitting in the pasture for 3-odd years. I've been working on it all day and will continue to work on it until it's perfect. Here's what my plans are:
Today: I aired up the tires, put in a new battery (after moving it out of that rut it was stuck in with the help of my mom, two brothers, dad, and uncle), washed down the outside completely, washed the windows (inside and out except for the back one on the inside), de-grimed the steering wheel (which stuck to my skin when I touched it), scrubbed out multiple nicotine stains from years of mom smoking in it, washed the inside of the driver's side door, and washed all of the mirrors.
Tomorrow: Wash the rest of the inside, take it to the shop to get a safety inspection, fix the brakes, and find out (and fix if it's not too much money) why my air conditioner won't run. Also, I'll probably head over to my other uncle's house and puppy-dog eye him to give her a better paint job for free. It might work if I bring my dad along with me, but he's never done anything for free for mom (even though she's his sister).
Please remember that this is only what I HOPE to accomplish tomorrow. It might take me more than a day to finish washing that thing (three years of built-up grime), so I might not be on for a while. It WILL take up most of my time, so don't expect me much.
