Okay, so just to let everyone know, I apparently have the deadliest type of Staph infection I can have. o.0
If someone doesn't know, Staph is a bacteria, not a virus, that normally lives nice and happily on our skin (everyone has Staph bacteria on their skin), but when something penetrates the skin (like a bug bite or a shaving cut or something) the Staph can cause an infection.
Well people started over-treating this harmless Staph and thus created "super Staph". It's called MRSA and it's particularly resistant to treatment by antibiotics, making it more dangerous. It's also highly contagious, so it's recommended not to share soap or towels or anything like that with other people. So you could say I'm in quarantine.
Because this is very dangerous and there is a possibility of me getting very, very sick because of it, there might be some times when I'm not on very often. We're trying to get rid of it as fast as we can, but like I said, it's hard to treat. They gave me a month's supply of antibiotics, so hopefully it will be gone in the next month. I dunno though, so watch for me being gone a bit.

Yeah. They said I should be fine as long as I don't touch it and then touch my face or something like that. She [the nurse] said she saw a case one time that was so bad she couldn't even recognize the girl.

Dont think about that, that will only make it worse. All in your mind, just remembers this little Native American saying..
Give thanks to unknown blessings already on their way..

^^ Yeah, God's been watching over my whole family lately. My Dad's cancer is in remission, my mom's back has been feeling better, my brother hasn't had any type of intestinal surgery (that's an inside joke lol) in the last year, and when I went on both of my vacations, I didn't get sunburned on either of them. Just the little things let me know he's watching me. ^^

Okay, well I haven't been back to the doctor's yet to confirm which of these is true, but it's most likely that I've either had an allergic reaction to the meds they gave me (which is unlikely since I've taken it before and nothing happened) or the Staph has just spread a lot and the antibiotics are just doing their job. Let me explain:
I woke up this morning and mom told me that my face looked really red and took my temp. It was 99.0 F. So I looked in the bathroom mirror and it looked just like I had a sunburn on my face, arms, hands, and when I looked myself over, the tops of my feet. I knew it couldn't be a sunburn because I haven't been outside lately (except for going in and out of the hospital, McDonalds, and Wal-Mart, but those were very short.
So we looked at the side effects on the meds and it said it might cause increased sensitivity to sunlight. For a second, that seemed like it was the answer, but then we remembered that I'd only taken the meds that morning, not the morning before when I clearly didn't have them. Puzzled, we checked my temp again. It was 99.8 F.
Now my arms, scalp, and feet started burning and itching. Not good. We figured it was some kind of rash due to the meds or something, but when we called the hospital, they were as puzzled as we were. Soon after, I contracted a pounding headache (which has lasted virtually all day). I just rested, drank lots of fluids, and hoped it would go away soon.
When Dad got home, he was pretty confused too. After a while, he told us his theory. He said when he was taking his chemo drugs, the same thing happened to him. He said that it was probably that the antibiotics were just doing their job and the Staph were fighting back for all they're worth. He also said that, since it didn't happen last time I took the drug, the infection has probably spread to the affected areas.
So I've felt like crap all day (which is why I haven't been on), fell asleep due to Benadryl (trying to get it to stop itching), and felt like I had a second-degree sunburn all day. Not only that, but my feet and my lips are swollen, and my fever has raised to 100.8 F which totally sucks. If it gets to 102.0 F, mom said to tell her (which I hope doesn't happen cause then she'll keep me up all night with her nervous nagging.
So, not getting better, but I hope I will once I find out what's wrong (which means I'll also probably not be on tomorrow either).

aww...get well soon Hito. hope it goes away soon... being ill sucks and its extreemly irritating. If your feeling hot maybe try an ice pack or something if it is really bad. I aren't too good with medical stuff.
Things i know-
Heart attack- feel a tingling sensation in your arms first then you go clammy and pale/blue
fainting- pupils in your eyes go wider and the strength in your muscles weaken and you collapse. (a lot of experience since i faint all the time)
How to put a plaster on- take from packet and add to cut/injury
i only know 3 things so im not the best person to ask about it lol ^^' though il try and be helpfull in any way i can

lol Thanks, but we went to the clinic again today and found out that I am very, very, VERY allergic to that antibiotic they gave me to get rid of the infection, which caused my lips and feet to swell and that weird sunburn rash thing to happen. Lesson learned: NEVER EVER EVER EVER TAKE IT AGAIN! They put a flag on my medical records and everything.
So of course, first they had to stop the reaction. Everyone knows that the best thing for allergic reactions are steroids and I immediately knew what she was talking about. I had to get a steroid shot in my butt! God it sucked...it hurt for like an hour afterward...but then I felt really good. There's no more rash on my face or my arms, my lips are no longer swollen, and the rash has greatly reduced on my feet/ankles/calves. Now when my feet looked like big red potatoes with toes this morning, they look much better. I can bend my toes again! lol
So yeah, I'm pretty much back to normal, the Staph is going away, but I still have to run through another gauntlet. They gave me another antibiotic to take for the Staph and some steroid pills to take twice in the morning and twice at night for three days, then one in the morning and one at night for three days. My mom just so happens to be allergic to this steroid, so I hope I'm not too. (This is the only allergy I've ever had, so that's why it confused us so much.)
So if I have a reaction to the 'roids, I'm pretty much screwed. I'll have to go into the hospital and be treated by IV so they can monitor my reaction to the antibiotics and such and that will mean no computer for a while. Hopefully that won't happen and I'll only get better from here.

lol 'sokay. I feel a whole lot better today. No more reaction-my feet are back to normal lol-and the Staph's almost gone. I still have to take some antibiotics for it, and the side effects of those are pretty bad. (Like vomit that looks like coffee grounds(blood), excessive vomiting, diarrhea etc. Also the chances for breaking or fracturing my bones is a lot greater than if I wasn't on them... o.0)
But nothing's gone wrong so far and I took them at 11 am. Also, my mom's not letting me take the other stuff cause she says they were prescribed to help calm the raction and since there's no reaction I don't need to take them. (I think she's just scared cause THOSE side-effects are much worse.)
