Past Memories

[Rynn]

Fallen laid on the edge of the lake enjoying the warmth of the sun while Kaze swam in the lake, acting like a pup. Fallen looked around but didn't see Rin, she got slighly worried until she saw her sister laying in the shade of one of the trees that was at the edge of the lake, Rin was half in half out of the water and seemed to be enjoying the coolness of the water in the heat of the day. Fallen then pondered, Rin had been sickly as a pup, she wondered how many of her friends knew, the more she thought about it the more worried she got until she shook her head, no need to ruin the time that Rins health was good while her health could take a turn for the worse at any second.

(ooc: okay I know this wasn't so great a post, but whatever, this post can sit here till Hitoban and Tsuki come back or whatever I don't care I just wanted to start something cause I had a thought and it was in Rins' bio and it was driving me nuts that I hadn't brought anything up about it yet....so there..I started it)

"What are you thinking about?" Shimo asked. He had simply appeared there out of nowhere -- he was either very quiet, or Fallen was too deep in thought to notice him approach. "Fallen, wasn't it? Don't be too surprised if I sneak up on you now and then; I used to be able to see sound waves -- like sonar -- so I learned to walk without making much noise. So what's on your mind?" He was surprised that he could still detect such things... although, this also meant his eyesight could fade again. It was impossible to tell, especially with his powers returned -- every time he used them, the mark Dante had given him hurt like hell, which made sleeping last night a horrible experience. But none of that now, he had to make up for his rude behavior from last night, so he needed to be kind and attentive to whatever Fallen had to say...

[Rynn]

Fallen jumped slightly at Shimos sudden appearance, "Oh, it's alright everyone sneaks up on me now and again, sometimes I hear them sometimes I don't. Yes, the names Fallen, what's yours again? If you said it the other night I didn't catch it...." she paused for a few seconds before continueing, "I was thinking about Rin actually....and worrying about her like any sister would..with Kaze and I being the only family she has left, she has to have someone worrying about her....excpecially in her...condition." She then shook her head having thought she said too much, but now that it was out, there was no avoiding the conversation.

[Tsukikage]

Shimo introduced himself at the appropriate pause before listening to what she had to say. After a long, thoughtful pause himself, he took a deep breath. "Yes," he nodded, "I did notice something... odd about her before. I wasn't able to figure it out, though, since she and I had little contact when my vision was gone. After that, my ability to detect such abnormalities has become severely limited."
Shimo scanned the lake and found Rin. He fixed his gaze on her and squinted a bit, checking to see if his "second sight" could be summoned again. His attempt frustrated, he turned back to fallen. "So, what exactly is this 'condition' of which you speak? I might be able to help -- except -- *ngh!*" He flinched a bit, and the strange marking on his neck blackened and throbbed. He recovered quickly enough, but it was obvious that his power would now be more hindrance than help. Is this still from last night?!? He thought...

[Rynn]

Fallen watched Shimo for a few seconds before awnsering, "When Rin was born the healer in our village claimed Rin as 'weak' and said that she probably wouldn't survive the first winter...well, Rin proved us all wrong and lived but our father wouldn't acnowledge her as his daughter and finally one day he desided if nature wasn't going to kill her, then he would..." she paused, "that day he tore our live apart, by killing his mate and then chasing Rin from the pack, Kaze followed her not caring about the consequenses. Everything went fine for a few months but then Rin started to feel bad, and as the days and weeks progressed she got worse...." Fallens eyes had taken on a distant look, "one day it got so bad that she couldn't move, eat, she could barely even breath, they were staying as guests with another pack at the time and the healer did everything she could but she could only ease Rins pain and bring down her fever, she couldnt' do anything else....it took her two months to fully recover from just that episode....everytime it happens it takes her longer to come out of it....and I fear one of these day's she won't come out of it at all....we have no idea what is causing this either....not even the healer knew...." Fallen blinked and came back to the present with a shudder, "She's been alright for awhile which is good, but I get this bad feeling sometimes..." she trailed off.

[Tsukikage]

Shimo shook off the throbbing pain and tried to pay attention. So... this was Rin's little secret... he nodded to fallen in acknowledgment, "I heard a saying once: 'tis better to have loved and lost, than never loved at all. I don't suppose this will make anything better, but I can't remember my family, so you should consider yourself lucky if you've any fond memories at all." He took a deep breath and focused to keep the scar in check before continuing. "As for Rin's health, I may be able to help -- I have the ability to change things..." He paused, then scratched a circle on a rock. The scar glowed, and his veins became visible and black down his foreleg and into the ground within the circle, where he touched it. The rock fell into sand, then the sand arranged itself into a shape, and finally became a glass figure of a wolf. Though the transmutation was small, it was still too early -- and he knew it, too. He fell to the ground, writhing in pain as his veins burned with the scar's black fire. It only lasted a moment, but the pain was intense. "D-don't..." He spattered, "don't worry about me -- I can recover. The important thing is that this means I can make her body stronger. I'll leave the decision up to you guys -- just be aware that it may be at least as painful as it is for me, and there is a chance that it won't help at all. What do you think?"
He lay there, panting and sweating, as if he'd just fought off a bear...

(OOC: okay I'm kinda mad cause I had this typed out the way I wanted it like 3 days ago but my computer froze and I lost it all so this is a different version though I liked the other better but I can't remember exactly how I worded it, so sorry for the late post.)

Fallen eyed Shimo for a few seconds before replying, "You may not be able to remember your family, but it seems like you've found a new home, with new family, though I have not yet met the Alphas, I'm sure they are nice. And as for your offer, I wouldn't wish to put any further strain on you and I would have to consult with Kaze and then Rin before giving you an awnser..." She then looked out at the lake to see Kaze in the shallows staring at Rin with his head tilted sideways slightly. He then shook his head and padded over to Rin, Fallen watched with a small pang of worry before shoving the thought aside, though Kaze had a knack for almost always predicting when Rin was feeling bad it wasn't like he only went near her when she wasn't feeling well, so she just pushed it aside and looked back at Shimo, "Are you sure your alright?"

Meanwhile Kaze approached Rin and stood between her and the sun, Rin opened one eye lazily, "What do you want Kaze, your in my light.." Kaze smirked, "Just checking up on you...." Rin lifted her head, "Why?" Kaze shrugged, "I don't know, just felt like it, you feeling alright?" Rin narrowed her eyes, "I feel fine, why do you ask?" Kaze shrugged again, Rin gave a small growl of annoyance before laying her head back down and dozing off again, Kaze smirked and curled up next to his sister and also dozed off.

[Tsukikage]

Shimo winced a bit as he pulled himself up from the ground. "Y-yeah... fine..."
He stared at his leg -- the veins were still blackened and throbbing all through it. It felt like it was burning all the way up to the mark on his shank. "A-and of course, you'll need to talk to them. We've got plenty of time, I'm sure, I just thought I'd --"
"Shimo!" Kage called, rushing up to them. "Come quick! Tsuki's not --"
His words fell away as he caught sight of the black vines crawling up Shimo's foreleg. "Oh my God..." he murmured...
Shimo smiled, though the strain was obvious. "Don't worry about it," he insisted. "What's wrong with Tsuki?"
Kage recomposed himself for a moment. "His eyesight hasn't returned, and Dante sent me to get a healer. I don't know what happened, but I thought I should get you first." Kage nodded, "They're in the Alpha's Den." He said before rushing off again. "Go! I'll get a healer!"
Shimo bowed to Fallen, "If you'll excuse me..."
He turned back once before limping away, "Think about my offer, will you?"
With that, he left the scene, in search of Tsuki...

Fallen blinked and backed up a bit as the new wolf approached, she had never seen him before and she remained silent as he spoke as Shimo turned back to her she nodded, "I will think of about your offer......but your Alpha is more important than she is, Rin would say the same if you asked her...." And then he was gone, limping off towards the Aplhas den and she turned and padded to Rin who was asleep again. She nudged Kaze who opened his eyes and looked up at her, Fallen motioned towards Rin. "How is she do you know?" Kaze shook his head, "She wont' tell me but its obvious she's ill again.....lay next to her, she's really warm.." Fallen gently laid a paw on Rins' flank and felt the heat radiating off even before her paw touched her fur. "No wonder she's laying in the cool water..." Fallen sighed and turned back to Kaze, "Did you hear what that new wolf said?" Kaze nodded, "I hope the Alphas okay...." Fallen then laid at the base of the tree with a sigh, "I would go investigate but I'm new here and I dont' want to leave Rin here....I guess we'll just find out how the Alpha is when we find out..." And with that Fallen and Kaze laid their heads on their paws and waited.
