Hunting

Hitoban smiled at Rin and her family's welcomes, and nudged Desperado to say something to them. But before she could, Koal spoke. He called her "Hito" again, making her ear twitch ever so slightly, and asked if he should leave. She felt bad-she didn't want to be a cruel Alphess-so she answered him as kindly as she could while still saying what she needed to say.

"No Koal, you don't need to leave. However, I would prefer, until I get to know you better, that you address me as 'Hitoban.' You understand, don't you? For some reason I feel like if you leave our presence someone will kill you for not knowing the ways of the wolf world. You must have lived alone for a long time. No, you don't have to leave, and no I am not going to hurt you, kill you, maim you, or even yell at you if I can help it. I am no longer angry with you, so you may do as you wish. I only ask that you save the big game for my pack. If you would like to continue visiting with us, you may do so."

"Indeed, Hitoban, I have lived alone for a long time since I've left my parents to live on my own. Although as lonely as it may seem, it has made me stronger when traveling." Koal said before sitting down to relax now since he felt welcomed. "As for saving for the big game, I promise you I will be as of some use to you in a hunt. I am young, but I am strong thanks to the teachings of my father, Vang." Koal said.

"By the way, I am sorry for calling you by the wrong name. I have a bit of a habit of shortening ones name when it is hard to remember." Koal said as he tried his best to be respective to Hitoban since she is the Alphess after all. Koal's right ear twitched and began move around, Koal could have sworn he just heard something somewhere nearby.

Desperado had been too absorbed in listening to the strange conversation that her tongue had, for once in her life, decided to stay in her mouth. When Hitoban had nudged her, she finally left her own little world. Desperado opened her mouth to speak, but it snapped shut when the other wolf, Koal, had spoken. He was like her, a loner away from her family. Of course, she had finally found a place of her own in Hitoban's pack.

Once Koal was done speaking, she finally decided to talk. She turned to the three wolves that had talked to her. "Hello and thank you for welcoming me." She glanced over at Hitoban, hoping those were the right words to say.

Hitoban's eyes flashed when Koal spoke, but she listened patiently and kindly. He was clearly apologetic and she didn't need to get angry at him for things he didn't understand. She nodded acknowledgment when he was finished speaking. Desperado spoke, the common words of one who was introduced to the people they were introduced to. Hitoban caught the glance from Desperado and smiled in encouragement.

"Well now that we've all acquainted, I suppose we should go track down that buck."

Koal nodded in agreement to Hitoban as she suggested they'd track down the deer. "It shouldn't have gone far.." Koal guessed before he sniffed the air again.

Since Hitoban was the Alphess, she would lead them to the deer that had fleed. Who knows, luck may came there way and the deer might be found among other deers, or a buck for that matter..

[Rynn]

Rin snapped back to reality at the mention of the buck and nodded to Hitoban along with her siblings. Once Rin had come back from her thoughts she realized just how hungry she was but she didn't show it as she waited patiently for Hitoban to lead the hunt.

[ooc]I'll wait on Desperado to post and then we'll keep that order. Me, Koal, Rynn, and Desperado.

Never mind. For now, we'll take Desperado out of it because she seems to be absent.[/ooc]

Hitoban cringed ever so slightly when Koal decided that he was going to join them in the hunt. They were hunting for the pack, and that meant that he couldn't have any. Then she would feel bad and have to go hunting something else for him.Oh well-maybe wanted to join the pack. If he wanted to join the pack, there was no problem, but if he was just there to mooch, She had a problem. Why not go and mooch off another pack that didn't have as many mouths to feed? Well I'm being rude. I should just try to be nice to the poor kid.

"Okay, well let's go." She put her nose to the ground and started following the buck's scent. They went through trees and shrubs, and when they got close enough, she didn't even have to keep her nose to the ground to find it. When they got close, she started walking slower, crouching down low. Soon enough, she spotted it through the brush. She motioned to Rin to go around to the other side, so they would have it surrounded. She waited for the others to get into place before she would do anything.

[Rynn]

Rin nodded and moved her thin body silently around to block the bucks escape while Fallen and Kaze moved around to the other side of the buck blocking its escape from that side. Rin watched the bucks every movement, if it so much as tried to bolt, Rin was ready to take off after it, after not having food for awhile Rin was determined to not let this one get away, even if the other gave up, she would still follow it until either the buck or herself died.

Koal nodded quietly as he followed along Hitoban, then once Hitoban found the scent and the deer, Koal crouched low, waiting for the right moment to attack.

Once they were all there, the buck surrounded, he noticed them. His eyes grew wide and he tried to run, unfortunately for him, straight at Hitoban. She bared her teeth and ran at him. He ducked his head, aiming his antlers at her, and she got low to the ground. He charged over her, and she stood on the other side, unscathed. She turned and chased him, calling "Come on," behind her.

[Rynn]

With a huge leap Rin, Fallen and Kaze all took off and quickly caught up with Hitoban, Rin kept up well, her tiredness overpowered by the thought of food.

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki leaped out of the foliage at the fleeing buck, but his face had an unfortunate meeting with the thing's hoof. He was dazed for only a moment, however, and quickly ran after it, running alongside Hitoban. "Busy day, dear?" He chuckled.

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

Hitoban charged after the buck, following the trail of crushed shrubbery, slowly gaining on him. All of a sudden, something burst out of the brush to her left, and she veered to the right in surprise. She saw a furry mass jump at the buck, and heard something connect with the buck's hoof. It dropped back and Hitoban saw that it was Tsuki, now running alongside her. She was concerned, so she turned her head back from the path to him and back again.

"Are you alright?" She tried to see if he was bleeding anywhere, but couldn't see anything. She kept up her pace, still slowly gaining on the buck, but closer now that Tsuki's stalled him. "Yes," she chuckled, "I suppose you could say that."

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki grinned rather stupidly. "Um... my face is bleeding, but I'll live. We can talk after we catch dinner, though!"

[koal]

With a sudden burst of energy, Koal jumped fourth, Koal managed to run up along side the others, but that didn't stop there, Koal pushed himself and began to run faster than them, Koal was being caution of the deer's hoofs and was prepared to attack, Koal quickly leaped sideways and hit the deer's side, the deer lost balance for a moment and regained it's balanced, Koal lost some speed after the leap and was now behind the pack for a moment, Koal regains back the speed and caught up with the pack, Koal once again pushed himself to run faster. The side-ways tackle had failed to cause the deer to lose balance, therefore Koal was thinking perhaps a leap onto it's back and a bite to it's neck might slow it down.
