Hunting

[Rynn]

Rin and her siblings continued to follow behind Hitoban and Tsuki. Rin seeing the buck stagger, picked up her speed and passed up the hunting group and with a leap landed square on the bucks shoulders, sunk her fangs into the back of its neck and held on with a death grip. The buck jerked its head back trying to hit Rin with its antlers but Rin flattened herself to the back of the buck so the antlers couldn't make contact. Fallen and Kaze follwed behind Rin, each sinking their fangs into each side of the buck, Fallen was soon kicked clear of the buck and landed in the bushes with a thud. Kaze lost his grip a few seconds later but was soon up and following behind the others, but gaining.

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

Ready to end it, Hitoban dropped low and snapped at the buck's heels, careful not to get kicked. Finally she grabbed its right leg and crunched down, breaking it. It slowed significantly, crying out in pain and terror, but continued to try and escape.

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki darted around the buck like a firefly, the glow of his crest not only illuminating his body, but creating faint light near the others in the hunting party. In less than a blink, Tsuki's fangs sunk into the front of the doomed creature's throat, and as the light faded, the buck and everyone attached to it fell to the ground.

[Rynn]

Rin who still had a death grip on the back of the bucks neck felt the life drain from its body but before she could let go and jump clear it crashed to the ground causing her to lose her grip and roll a few feet away. She rolled onto her stomach and shook her head and blinked a few times to try to get the forest to stop spinning. Kaze padded over to Rin to find her laughing quietly, and he just shook his head and rolled his eyes. He looked around for Fallen who still hadn't shown back up yet from when she had been kicked into the bushes. Kaze immeditally turned and walked back the way they had came keeeping all senses open and alert for any sign of Fallen.

[koal]

Koal raised an eyeridge as he noticed light shining from Tsuki. This was new to Koal as the only person he knew had powers was his father, but now witnessing this, Koal now knew there were others who had powers.
Koal stopped in his tracks as he came to a halt, he sat down and watched.
He knew the deer wouldn't be able to escape nor live any longer with such a devasting attack. After panting a bit, Koal got up and slowly approaching the others, trying to see if Koal should join in the attack incase the deer were to try rebel.

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

Hitoban let go of the buck once she saw Tsuki grab hold of its throat, certain it would die. The momentum carried her forward a foot or so, and she planted her feet so as not to fall. She slung dirt toward those in front of her, but stood gracefully without falling. She smiled and padded toward Tsuki, pushing the lifeless buck away so she could lick at the wound on his head.

"Fantastic kill, love. Are sure you're fine? No permanent damage?" Everything else could wait-she had to be sure Tsuki wasn't on the brink of death.

[Tsukikage]

"P-pretty colors..." Tsuki mumbled, as he blinked a few times to clear his vision. "W-wha' happen...?"
Of course, he knew full well that his power could draw strength from those around him, but it was all sort of a blur for the time being.
Tsuki nodded to Hitoban and closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of her tongue on his face -- even if it did sting a little. "My head hurts. I guess I messed up the kill, huh, Heets?"

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

Even though she was still worried about Tsuki, he appeared to not be seriously hurt. If he didn't get back to normal before too long, she'd have Maname see what was wrong. For now though, they would need some more food-one buck wouldn't feed everyone. "No, dear, how could you have messed it up? You're the one who took it down." She stopped licking his wound long enough to look around and see how everyone else was doing. She saw Rin lying on her stomach, chuckling, and saw Kaze looking around, apparently for Fallen. She saw Koal edging around nervously, and figured she should put him out of his misery. She motioned for him to come over to where she was, talking to Tsuki.

"Tsuki, this is Koal. He wants to hunt here in our lands. He helped to chase down the deer."

[Tsukikage]

"Ngh... huh?" Tsuki blinked to clear his head, when he saw the deer, his eyes popped open and all he said was, "Oh..."
His strangely shocked expression changed to one of joviality as the introductions were made.
"Pleased to meet you, Koal. I'm Tsuki." He grinned, "I'm the alpha male around here, but Hitoban does most of the work. I'm just here to help, hehe..."

[Rynn]

Rin got shakily to her paws, her ears swivled towards the bushes and with a giant leap lunged into the bushes, she appeared a few seconds later with a large hare, she plopped it next to the buck and turned and darted back into the bushes in search of another hare or stragglers from the deer herd. Kaze found the bushes that Fallen had fallen into to discover her missing, her scent led away from where she had fallen so she obviously wan't hurt, but where was she going? He had a bad feeling about it and turned to find Rin missing and with a roll of his eyes walked back towards the others and sat a few feet away from them.

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

With the introductions over, Hitoban figured she could get back to hunting. There was more food to be had, and she had to feed her whole pack. One deer might feed most of them, but what about Mar? The rabbit might feed the pups (after all, they're still quite small), but what about the adults? There was much more to this Alphess job than just sitting around. She left Tsuki and Koal to get to know each other, disappearing into the bushes to join Rin in hunting down more food.

[koal]

"pleased to meet you, Alpha Male." Koal said as he bowed his head respectfully to Tsuki for a moment before getting back up.

Koal doesn't have much to say at the moment since they were still on the hunt.

[Tsukikage]

Tsuki smiled uneasily. "Uh, y-you can call me Tsuki -- everyone does. I'm not big on formalities. You're Koal, right?"
He traced his paw in circles on the ground, trying to think of something to say...
"Uh, you wanna go see the den, or keep hunting? I could give ya the two-cent tour, and send Mar or Kage out here." Looks like it'll be a little while before I'll have Hitoban to myself, either way...

[Rynn]

Kaze turned and jumped into the bushes after Rin and Hitoban. Rin padded through the woods on high alert for any signs of movement, a small rustling caught her attention and she crouched down and saw another buck slowly walking through the clearing. Rin grinned and with a sudden burst of speed and strength she hadn't had for months took off after it without a second thought, and before the buck even knew what hit him Rin had ran straight at the buck, under its antlers as it tried to impale her and grabbed ahold of its throat with a death grip she twisted her head swiftly crushing the bucks windpipe and the light from the bucks eyes faded and with Rin still having a death grip on her throat crashed to the ground. Kaze blinked surprised, where had that sudden burst of energy come from? Rin could barely walk after the first buck went down...He pondered this for a while before he shrugged and ran over to the buck to make sure Rin was okay.

[Hitoban no Fokkusu]

Hitoban heard the rusting the same time Rin did, dropping down low and stalking it. Before she had a chance to lunge, Rin burst out after it, taking it down quickly and seemingly easily. Hitoban paused to make sure the buck was dead, then checking out Rin to make sure she was okay. She seemed fine, but you could never be too sure.

"Rin, are you alright? That was fantastic." She smiled to lighten her worry.
